On the bright side, the accident Duran had finally convinced him to retire.

However, Corrales perished here, Valero can't fight in the States due to inuries suffered, and now PW is paralyzed.

I know you can't stop people from doing what they like, but if increases their chances of getting killed or seriously injured, why not?

    Just too bored.

Plus, Diego Corrales died in a motorcycle accident.

There is no governing body to impose the restriction, so it is a non-issue. You would think that the promoters would have restrictions in their contracts similar to the way MLB/NBA/NFL contracts are structured, though.

Sounds kinda heartless but they are in charge of their own lives, but I do think they should be made fully aware of the risks involved. Because boxers get punched in the head for a living, they can be more prone to having mental condition strike at the wrong time.

**** no, it'd be an attack to a basic human right, the right to risk your own life doing stuff you love to do.

Why dont we ban motorcycle stunt riding while we're at it

  5. American Baseball players and actually any pro athletes are prohibited from dangerous activities. But it's different with boxers because they are self epmloyed.

You can't ban them but you would think guys would know better. Sadly this doesn't seem to be the case.

I'm sorry, you can't ride a motorcycle, it's too dangerous . . . But on the upside you jump in a boxing ring and be repeatedly punched in the head until you can no longer remain conscious

No. They're people who get punched in the head for a living so they know the risks that come with riding a motorcycle.

Personally, if I were someone with a career like PW before his accident, I wouldn't ride one

We should ban them from taking steroids as well.
Even if it means the odd fight gets cancelled.
    But it'll never happen...

Here are the details of your contract

-for this fight you'll get the majority end of a 60-40 split post benchmark of 300k PPVs

-you'll be under my promotional banner for another 4 fights

-you are forbidden to ride motorcycles

    It's not stupid.

However this is something that will never come into effect, they should just be more careful.
