Bute's perhaps only chance hinges on that Pascal seems to gas out a lot and thus only fights in spurts. Bute should be able to outwork Pascal. Pascal's best win came against a very distracted and lazy Chad Dawson.
It all seems to point in Pascal's direction, even his last fight with Campillo - faster hands, more creative and smart, sometimes even surprisingly using unexpected strategies like against Dawson, accurate and fighting in Montreal with the fans support... But I still trust in this guy, Cloud, what a rock solid puncher he is and 12-3 minutes rounds is a long time, pascal has a good chin but he is about to be hit smshing hard. So there's never gonna be a Bute-Pascal fight for aby title at LHWT.
It's funny, judging by bute's loss to froch, you would think edison miranda or glenn johnson would best bute. Once again styles make fights, and I think froch's recklessness gave him a huge advantage. Basically just saying it's not a gimme that pascal would win.
on the contrary Froch was cautious early on, depending on how Pascal looks in his fight with Cloud its hard to predict Pascal has shown he can be hurt so if Bute caught him coming in it could be a hard night for Jean. you can bet he will be asking Froch for advice on the fight
I think Pascal would stop Bute in the first 6 rounds, but if he didn't then he would lose a decision. He has a similar ambush style to what Froch used where he would pounce on Bute with explosive combinations. He hits hard and fast enough to catch Bute and hurt him, he's a lively fighter against anyone early on in a fight.
