firstly. im sure they would like to distance themselves as far as possible from my intelligent opinions. im not any sort of spokesman for them, nor are my opinions theirs. im simply a boxing fan that likes fighters who fight the best to become the best. taking the learning route, not the pretend blown up record one. leapai has taken the learning route. that means stepping up, fighting the best he can get, taking his beatings along with his wins, and improving as he goes. he doesnt cheat his fans or the public. he is an honest fighter. its getting pretty rare. thats the kind of fighter i like. then you have welliver. a fat chump who fights bums, gets a blown up record in the process and a few bauble plastic belts. he than makes a big noise in a small backwater and tries to attract attention to himself... well, the fat **** has attracted some attention, and in reviewing his record i and others have exposed him as a pretender. yet he claims hes the best down under. so we say "fight alex leapai" if you are so ****en good. yet the answer is no, or a deal that is impossible to agree to. the reason alex would stoop to fighting a fat, gutless coward is that he, like the rest of us, like real boxers that dont blow up their records and avoid real fights, like welliver and demori. despite your 'record' alex would be only too happy to test his less experience against your obvious gluttony of experience......or are you scared chauncy?
mate. seriously. welliver is probably getting a following in china. when i was there teaching english, they showed a chinese fight live on tele. i couldnt tell their weights it was all in chinese. (12 years ago). mate, i havent seen you and i dont know who you are, but id back me and you to beat them!! they were ****en hopeless. and the commentators were going off like it was hagler vs hearns! the *****s are starved of good fights, there is no doubt. welliver can hold his hands up, that in itself would impress them. but i tell you what, they would fall in love with leapai. not just because of his ko power, but they like the polynesian looks. they have an almost asian look about them, but the muscle to add to it. my mrs recons polynesian men are the best looking men in the world. gotta watch that *****....
Why would I run to the mods. Good or bad, Sally talks about me and keeps my name out there, so I like to see more of it floating around. :good
2 things I would say to that. 1. They don't like just any fighters. I've seen them not cheer at all for some fights and I have seen many over there. 2. I wouldn't say they like all Polynesians. They've had a few over there and I seen one straight up boo'd out of the ring when he fought and it was a fight I thought he dominated in. The Chinese like boxing and are getting more and more of a feel for it. It's a growning sport and I think they'll be having HBO type fights there within the next year. :yep
1; yes, its been 12 years since ive been there, and in that 12 years they have grown....which is an understatement. naturally, they would be more discerning of fighters now, but obviously their tastes in fighers havent kept pace with their appetite for raw materials. chauncy being popular proves they are still a backwater. 2; the only obsticle to you fighting the worlds best polynesian fighter in china is YOU. leapai would fight you in phonebooth. hed even let you wear your undies on the outside and wear a cape! but until you grow some balls, it aint gunna happen, is it chauncy?
I'm not fighting him in China. They (Team Leapai) overvalue themselves and want to much money. If they come to me with an offer, I'd look at it if it's a fair amount. This fight can happen if they offer the right amount. Balls in their court. :thumbsup
Never seen you fight Chauncey, but just checked out your Boxrec listing and you've had plenty - you're obviously a bit of a road warrior, and I tip my hat to you, but I don't get it - how does a professional sportsman let himself get out of shape like this? I'm also curious as to why you relocated to NZ from the US when NZ is a backwater compared to the 'mecca of boxing'? This content is protected
my mrs said who is that fat man. i said that the one you asked if he is a real fighter.......she said. "that man will have a heart attack....:yep" he will if he ever gets in the ring with alex. :deal
That was a fight where I admittedly was not training. I was just sitting in New Zealand doing nothing. I sparred a few days for it, but I lived next door to a pastry shop. When in Rome. lol When I went to New Zealand I didn't plan to get a career going. I was young and always wanted to travel. It was a place that always intrigued me and when given the opportunity to move there, I took it. I loved the fight game there and fell in love with the people and made many friends, some like family there. Then I decided boxing was my free airline tickets down there after I got back to America so I started fighting there. After so many trips, I figured I'd just move down there and the rest is history. When I'm done with my boxing I will move to NZ fulltime with my girlfriend and family.
and as for the card in NZ. you knocked back leapai, meehan, and mensah. mensah was beating you last fight and the ref kept stopping the fight and taking points off him cause hewas beating you. mensah walked out of the ring saying **** you cheating ****s.
