Both parties had too good of a thing going to ever risk stepping in the ring with each other. Between them they could not have done more to avoid fighting each other, and did not hesitate to drag boxing even further into disrepute in the process.

What you *****s fail to understand is that Pac is running for a congressional seat at the time when the allegations were made.
That woudl've made a huge impact on Pac's ratings if he didn't do something that would save his reputation, like file a BS lawsuit not really against Floyd, BUT FOR THE EYES OF HIS PEOPLE (worked like a charm, btw).
You don't understand the culture in the Phils (esp how bad smear campaigns affect one's integrity) so don't pretend you do.
Pac already came from a disappointing loss for the same position just 3 years before, through the same smear tactics, which some of you *****s still swear by is real news -- like Pac is a head of some syndicate killing his opposition, seriously, WTF?!

What you *******s fail to understand is that Pac's team could've made it all end and expose floydette and his team had they simply dropped the lawsuit, accepted unlimited testing during the second set of negotiations and kick floydie's ass.
Apparently, Pac doesn't have any problems with it now, so why bother posturing during the 3rd (to infinity) set of negotiations.
All of his "I will take tests even after the 6th round" trash talking would've made sense during the 2nd set of negotiations. It doesn't now.
