    I know! :patsch

Unwarranted hype would have been more appropriate, I'm not one of those 'Canelo is the the future of boxing' people, but him and Kirkland are on completely different levels in my opinion.

Alvarez is untested, but Kirkland is a decent test at this stage.

I agree with it being a decent test for him, they're stepping him up nicely, but I think at this stage he's more than capable of getting over this hurdle. I'm with everyone who has said they were really looking forward to watching Williams roll back the clock!

I think the Kirkland fight will be a stormer - it's a good alternative.

Fingers crossed, I'd like to see Canelo's whiskers given a good test early on to spice things up a bit.

Kirkland may be worth a cheeky bet, Canelo is not the hardest guys to find and will be facing an opponent who is as big and as strong as himself for the first time, come fight night i will be supporting Kirkland to derail the Canelo express.

I can't stand Kirkland. Bashing up sparring partners like he does makes me sick. I hope he is knocked out hard, I really do. But I give him a solid chance here. This is a very very good fight

Really? How so? I can see your point if you mean that on paper they both pose challenges to the other. But I don't think it's a great fight really. Kirkland doesn't look close to elite to me - take out the Angulo fight and his post-jail career has seen him look decidedly average. It's not a bad fight but I don't think it's a very, very good one either.

It's a really good fight because it's the first time Canelo has stepped up as well. For get me wrong, Kirkland is a p4p god, but he hits damn hard, and Canelo loves a war. Very fan friendly

Kirkland has no defence whatsoever. He was made to look like a mug by Molina. If he had any power he would have knocked Kirkland out. Canelo early IMO

This is the sort of fight I want to see. Kirkland will test his mind, his chin and his stamina if he doesn't get tagged too soon.

Molina is awkward as hell tho. Canelo is upright and not hard to hit

would watch the fight. Kirkland is exciting, you just know something ****ed up is about to happen when he steps in the ring.

He could do Canelo in 1 round and it would not surprise me one bit.
