Sorry I was going by I think 60/40 for FLoyd is a fair offer, but if Pac were to accept the flat 40 million and the GBP and Floyd take all of the PPV, you figure the network takes half of the PPV, and the rest to Floyd.

So say the revenue is 160 mill for discussion sake (Cotto/Mayweather just did 95 mill in revenue)

Half of that to HBO and PPV network, and the rest to Floyd so that would be around 80 million.

It's a crap offer if I am Pacquiao. Since Cotto got 35% of PPV

I'm not trying to imply that blatant ignorant fanaticism is good, but why is it only in boxing that fans get called things like fanboys and the such? I can understand that sometimes fans are so ridiculous they defend their favorite fighter no matter what happens, but this isn't very far off from any other board poster on forums such as Giants.com or Yankess.com etc.

Only in boxing is someone a homer for having a favorite fighter and supporting that athlete. It seems like a person who "just wants to see great fights" is held higher where as in most sports that person would be a band-wagoner. Just funny. SMH

    fair enough. :thumbsup

EDIT: if you agree it's a crap offer for Pac, why do you post he's pricing himself out? Floyd's numbers are not so overwhelming tilted to his favor where that offer is in good faith. And if money is such a problem, why does he need GBP anyway? Pac HAS to use TR, as he is under contract. If Floyd a contracted GBP fighter? As far as I know, he isn't. GBP is the odd man out here.

"Steroid" is a vague and generic term.

They stopped 14 days out for the Ortiz/Mayweather fight with Blood tests...they did the same for the Shane/Mayweather fight. USADA will not draw blood too close to the fight based on the risk factors involved with invasive procedures like this.

That also described 95% of the floyd fanatics here. Names are virtually interchangable. Probably on account of so many creating alias or alt accounts to post under.

where do you think the majority or the $40 mill for pac is coming from? a majority of that money is coming from the back end PPV ... granted floyd would likely make more than 60 if the fight did 3 million buys, but thats not happening

pure speculation that cotto got 35% ... and im sure he would have rather received the $40 mill than 35%

I've read it a few reports that Cotto was set to receive 35%. And of course Cotto would have rather gotten a flat fee of 40 million since he probably made around 25 mill for the Floyd fight, but Cotto isn't exactly Pacquiao in terms of drawing power now is he?
