The guy just won super 6 and you talking about courage?

Question is, is it worth his while going to the UK to fight Froch.

Ward stopped using headbutts and stopped charge in with his shoulder as some kind of rugby player after the Kessler fight. Probably he and Virgil Hunter realised that Ward is capable of winning against the best without such tactics.

Clash of styles had nothing to do with it. Kessler is not more stationary than Froch or Green. Froch and Green were a bit busted up after Ward was done with them, while Kessler looked like he had been worked over with a razorblade. This was due to cuts after Ward leading with his head during all eight rounds.

It's good that Ward fights clean as for now. It makes it easier to enjoy his highly refined style.

I think the 2 fight deal is good idea.

The amount of 1-1's with the home fighter winning each time, will at least educate American's on the advantage they consistantly have fighting at home.

I mean, I disagree wholheartedly. I dont think ward intentionally meant to headbutt kessler and cut him in the process. I feel like that's the gist of your argument. I think after a while, kessler became a stationary target, like green against ward, and ward elected to manhandle them, whereas froch never remained stationary, and also kept up the pressure, where ward could fight off the backfoot and not have to use rough tactics, which arise, unintentionally in the case of the headbutts specifically, from coming forward and manhandling his man.

yes.everyone in super 6 had to travel.Ward didn't cause he has no balls, and that's why he won it,cause he had all the fights in his livingroom.home turf counts more than you think at this level

fanboyism? hardly. call me what you want but you're barking up the wrong tree with that, totally. Kessler stood around and allowed himself to be manhandled. that was my initial point and ayone who isn't clearly a ward hater like yourself could see that. the same would have happened to froch had he stood around, accept he wouldnt have cut as easily. make good points and stop hating.

Ward and his teams desire to be pampered throughout the S6 will always raise questions.

Refused flat out to fight bute in what would have been a very financially lucrative bout for the undisputed SM crown. This was well before Dawson was on the agenda and again raises questions.

Ward saying he is done at 168 and then being prepared to fight dawson at 168lb will always raise questions.

Ward was never going to leave the USA for any fight, Let alone now whilst he is the man, why would he and I know he thinks why should he. Why would he take such a risk when he has never liked taking them?

To be fair he wins 9 times out of 10 but there is that chance that he gets a ref who wont allow excessive holding and therefore opens him up a little more. Anything can happen to derail a fighter like ward who has gone to great lengths to keep themselves at an advantage.

Ward maybe a great fighter but boy he likes to be pampered..
