Sugar ray robinson used to beat on his wife all the time was not a good dad either.

Julio cesar chavez heavy drinker lot of depression.

Sugar Ray Leonard missed fighting filled with anger from not fighting used cocaine and had a drinking problem

Joe calzaghe drug user after fighting.

    Carlos monzon killed people

Mike tyson my all time favorite fighter alot of personal demons and anger drug user and drinking problem.

Ali great fighter had alot of issues to.

George foreman used to beat on women.

Manny pacqauio heavy drinker alot of life issues

Floyd Mayweather jr women beater personal demons.

Joe louis drug user drinker had alot of anger in his heart.

    Sonny liston anger personal demons

    Ricky hatton problems

Oscar De la hoya drug user and drinker personal demons.

G-Man used to buy dogs tie there mouth shut and let other dogs kill them.

I think boxers have minds close to serial killers.

Because to enjoy beating on people there is something not all there.

As a kid that just started boxing two years ago the reason i like fighting is.

    1.Alot of thinking

    2.I like it hit people

3.Its a one person sport its you vs them other people can save you or him.

But why do most boxers have a very dark side?

    such a generazlization.

I think it arises from the fact that anyone who achieves at the top level of the sport, and generally makes the decision to become a professional fighter, and last, is a little nuts, period. people who are great boxers are crazy before ever stepping foot in the ring for the first time. some, most, just handle it better than others.

Most boxers who are successful are usually cocky, and think they are above the world. Plus a handful of them are stupid.

I feel you on this one. It takes a different kind of mindset to become a professional fighter. Some of the attributes can lead to great success: competitive drive, discipline. Some can lead to failure: emotional instability, the need to feel love from outside sources.

Usually Boxing is used by a certain type of young person to channel excess agression. When not Boxing, they express their agression in other ways. Wrong ways.

  10. Can you explain

why Klithsckos are not like that?

    Bute?

    Froch?

    Kessler?

    Lennox Lewis?

    Forgot Tim Bradley...

    Hit a cripple

What problems did Ali have? The things he did out of ring are one of the main reasons why he is such a legend

Simple: lack of education and proper parental guidence as a child. Most successful boxers dont come out of Harvard or bust into the boxing world after they finish up high school or college (Klits and some others dont apply and are def the exception--and as you can see-they are at least educated and without major "issues" outside the ring). The sport lends itself to being adopted by those that are involved in tough and poverty stricken conditions, typically coming from very dsyfunctional upbringings. Its all about the culture that can participate in it. Historically, boxing is a sport for the undereducated poor. Just because you are now a champion in boxing and have money, doesnt automatically make you educated, reasonable, moral and responsible-all elements necessary to be a productive member of society with the least likelyhood of having "issues" outside the ring. Therefore many, not all, have many unresolved emotional and social issues outside the ring.
