Who was Cotto with as he left TR. Promoting himself?

Regardless even if he was with GBP they can't silence the opposition if they were informed of anything illegal would have made a noise. Unless the tests are for show and results aren't given to the other team but that wouldnt make sense

Well, I'm giving up the watch to go out and get my laps in. Looks like in this case it isn't "where there's smoke there's fire" but "that was just steam from a pile of dog ****". rorschach51 When you tweet him again, be sure to give him our opinion. Tell him the only reason we aren't boycotting maxboxing is because we don't go there anyhow. :D

It depends on how the contracts are drawn.

The USADA involvement in professional sports is really a vague or gray area.

Are they working as a repesentatives of the USOC (obviously not) or are they independent contractors outside of their function as a quasi-governmental agency?

There lies the vagueness or gary area.

Because if they are independent contractors being paid by a certain person or company, then a contract has to be made on how the tests are to be done, or how are the tests to be handled, etc.

It is well known that USADA has been trying to bring on board professional sports for a long, long time, infact even tried convincing the MLB when the Sosa, Bonds,Macgwire thing was happening. The primary reason is not actually to clean up sports but rather it was more financial. Bigger leagues are bigger payers. If you study how USADA charter came about, it is not exactly an agency endowed with unlimited cash. Infact,it does not even own any testiong center. The two testing centers in the USA (the UCLA and the SMRTL in texas) and the total 4 in continental americas are all independent laboratories with WADA accreditation.

However, would they act like an Olympic arm or would they have to follow a guideline based on the state governing body has not been resolved.

That is where it becomes controversial. For example, if a fighter is tested positive once and negative on the 2nd specimen, is he guilty? Based on the World anti-doping principle, he is not. But then, in professional sports, does thismean he is guilty considering that they don't actually adhere to the WADA protocol, that being 365 days 24/7 random testing?

Very, very rarely does one fighter's test come dirty the first time, then the next sample come up clean. They are usually given the benefit of the doubt though until the B sample is tested due to possibility of contamination.

First specimen as positve is not common, It is a rare occurrence and infact, athletes with the first tests as positives sometimes are on sports papers, with of course a further reading that the second one is negative.

And you make it sound like contamination is a common occurrence. Contamination from what? These protocols are designed to almost eliminate contamination. It is collected, sealed, and sign by the atlete being tested. The SEAL has to be signed.

The reason why the first test is usually positive is because it is a false positive. Meaning that either the test is sensitive to chemicals that look the same with the chemicals being tested. The second confirmatory test is usually done on an equipment with higher speicificity and sensitivity, thereby eliminating false positives.

If you contaminate specimens that easily, why the hell do you need testing then? What's the point when the testing protocol is easy to contaminate?

Not sample contamination, but rather cross contamination from something ingested e.g. supplementation, foods, etc
