Floyd has been cornered by lesser fighters; the fight would end up on the inside, and Duran was the more skilled and ferocious fighter there. That's all there is to it.
Leonard could lay serious wood when he sat down on shots. Nothing was going to stop Duran that night and I imagine he was bewildered by Duran's ability to slip punches while in full-on attack mode.
he might be able to pull off a decision but he wouldnt get in the ring with duran no way anyways.. by the way floyd has a way better chance of being duran then pacman
At lightweight I beleive Duran would win. If Floyd engaged he would have been koed. If he ran as he has done in many fights he would have lost by decison. At welter, Duran was a different fighter, he spent more time partying than he did training and I believe it is unlikely that he would beaten Floyd at that weight and stage of his career. He would not have beaten Leonard if Leonard had not decided to beat Duran at his own game. Floyd would have never made that decison/mistake and would have won handily, just as Leonard did in the second fight with Duran, fighting his fight.

People cannot be that ignorant right? Boxing fans today never had the chance to see a prime young ferocious Roberto Duran. He would have KILLED that sissy punkass punk Floyd Mayweather. Castillo brutalized him and was robbed, can you imagine what Duran would have done to him. A prime Sugar Ray Leonard fought a middle aged Duran and look at what Duran did to him. Mayweather is at best in the top 30-40 P4P fighters list. We need to pass a law that states a person will spend the rest of his life in a medical facility should he ever even think Mayweather had any chance of beating the BEST natural fighter to ever lace on the gloves.
