    I always liked Eubank but it took him losing to get a lot of people's respect.
    Because I was hardcore Leonard,I didn't really appreciate Hagler until after they fought.
    And I'll never forget Dennis Andries' courage when losing to the Hitman.

    Cotto losing to Margarito I felt really pushed him to re-focus and make improvements.

    Lennox losing, both times, pushed him to stop being lazy and realize that if you let up, you can be defeated.

    Marquez, with all the Pac bull****, I feel is always desperately trying to prove himself at the A+ level.

    Can't speak for myself since I was already a fan, but a lot of people seem to respect Bute more since he lost. Am I right?

    To be fair Cloudz,he was well up in my estimation as a man before the fight took place,especially in the build up.
    Is this what he really wants though?:huh

    Great thread, I've been wanting one like this for a while.

    Bert Cooper earned a lot of respect when he lost to Holyfield.
    Froch in the ring after losing to Kessler
    Who can forget the gut wrenching feeling of watching Katsidis after losing to JMM?
    Paulie for calling his bs loss against Diaz.

    Yeah but I meant, in the thread "Lucian Bute : Carl Froch was better", many people seemed to come up with comments like "I didn't really care about him / I didn't like him much, but he won me over because of the way he acts after his loss".

    I thought it was disgraceful that the most outrageously talented fighter of his generation celebrated not getting knocked out as if he'd unified the belts at heavyweight.
    It was actually more sad than anything else.

    Jones came out knowing he was long gone, a shell of what he was, and he'd been KO'd twice in his last two fights. He came out and tried to win.

    He showed his heart in the first Tarver fight, and proved his balls with the third fight.
