Mayweather 130-147 beats out Duran anywhere

People sold on power and chin again. as if Sugar ray had the power to keep duran and hagler off him but he still won. Good foot movement and able to spin your opponents and lateral movement to keep your opponents off balance is part of the sweet science. People are too dumb on here. Skill paids the bills and more ways to win a fight. In a street fight Duran all day but with rules and ability to outpoint there is nothing crazy that floyd prime for prime can box duran's ears off.

If Floyd was so easy to run over than why is he the hardest person to hit by far stats wise? And also as if Floyd is not painfully obvious that he is the most technical/talented boxer ever in history? If i'm wrong point me to the guy who has more boxing ability than him bc I should as hell wanna know.

 

and I like how people are throwing Castillo I as an example and act like they are boxing fans. If they are boxing fans that "followed" boxing would know that Floyd fought Castillo will one arm. If they followed boxing they will know that Floyd at 35 is NOT in prime and is fighting nothing like he was at 130-140. People are so stupid on this site. Why don't they take Duran after he was 35 and throw his ass in there in a fantasy match with Floyd at 35? the Duran that lost to Robbie sims a 26-4 fighter? People want to throw names where Floyd struggles but doesn't throw in the names that Duran or whoever they put on the pedstal stuggling fights. And the sad part is they pick two fights of FLoyd that is not even revelant.

 

I think the Mayweather nuthuggers are too busy hugging nuts to understand what is being said to them. Castillo is being thrown in as an example, because admirable as he is, he is not fit to carry Durans jockstrap at 135. He is not on the same planet as the Panamanian at Lightweight, yet despite the protestations of the Mayweather nuthuggers, he WAS able to cause Floyd many problems, in both their fights.

Duran at 135 eats Mayweather at will, by fair means or foul. He would invite Floyd to hit him then bull him to the ropes, and batter him for fun. If Floyd tries to run, Duran cuts off the ring quickly and batters him there too. He was not some plodding old fat guy at 135 as he ended up being at 147 and above.

Too good, too strong, too powerful, and too ****ing mean at Lightweight, for any Mayweather who ever lived. If Floyd had fought a prime Duran at Lightweight he would have quit boxing with a broken spirit, and his nuthuggers would not be able to wax lyrical about his achievements at 147 / 154.

and that is just to name a few. So how can anyone be so confident that Duran who can't KO those guys above will be able to KO Floyd? If SRL who stood toe to toe with Duran I didn't get KOed why would Floyd? SRL was easier to hit.

 

So let me get this str8 Duran at 140 couldn't KO a guy with 18 wins and 8 Losses but magically we should assume that he can KO one of the best defensive fighters of all times??? I am suppose to read and believe this? Use some logic. If you want to assume that then why don't assume that as soon as SRL uses a tactic using his foot movement and just pot shots and won easily, should we assume that Floyd could easily do the same? It works both ways. One thing for sure is that Floyd at 35 is still rated num1 in the world and Duran was not. Floyd at 35 is still beating Champions while Duran is getting beat so who is greater????

 

You floyd haters give up too easy. Uses up one piece of boxing information that you know from your friend who somewhat followed boxing hype and ran with it. Now after you get expose you scare to debate. Where is Lance uppercut when you need him at least he doesn't give up no matter how bad he is losing.

 

prime floyd was ****in beast. I think to beat floyd you also have to be a good boxer with a solid jab and more speed then floyd.

I can't see how people think it is cut and dry either way. Mayweather had some trouble with Castillo (in both fights, not just the one where he was injured) and Duran also had trouble with fast, technical fighters. Duran could do everything Castillo did to give Mayweather problems (cut off the ring and smother him) except he was superior in all aspects. Very difficult fight to predict.

 

floyd is self managed and has carefully picked his opposition since moving up in weight.

duran was not.

as for the "no mas" fight....he was forced into that match by his manager who basically set him up to fail to teach him a lesson. leonard did nothing to make him quit. the fight was actually pretty close. ask urself why leonard waited all the way to '89 to fight duran again? he literally ran the whole fight and when he stopped to exchange before the end of the fight duran hit him with a shot that cut him so bad he needed 50 stitches to close it.

floyd is definitely a great boxer with skills that have not been seen imo. skillwise...he is the best...but accomplishment wise....he doesn't come close to duran. duran is top 3 atg. floyd isn't even top 10. had he taken on more challenges as duran did...u could make the case. he still has time.

 

duran was superior to castillo and cotto in every aspect and they gave floyd his toughest fights. duran would have beat floyd imo.

Floyd did not struggle with Castillo II, he won 9-3 rounds. The judges were a whole lot nicer to Castillo the second time around. Floyd was in complete control. Castillo in his prime at 135 was a beast he was a smart boxer who ko power in both hands and he was durable as hell. I do agree that Duran would be a better version of Castillo but it doesn't mean he would be Floyd.

 

My level of reasoning? I'm the one of the few on ESB who put up detailed examples of what i'm debating about and you know damn well i have solid arguements. And you know damn well how most people just repeat **** they've heard growing up on those classic fighter and put them as some unstoppable killing machines. I do my own research and take facts. People want to point out Floyd struggle with this guy and that guy but they failed to point out that Duran as well as every boxer struggle with people from time to time and loses to fighters that they shouldn't have lose to. And all of the elites fought handful of bums and cherrypicks and thats the real truth.

Floyd is number 2 under SRR. And Manny it is in Top 10 ATG list as well. Name any other boxer who has dominated from their amatuer days of 16 years old to 35? and still currently dethroning champions? Seriously haters need to realize how special Floyd Jr. Truly is and quit trying to discredit him.

And if you think Floyd is #2, and Manny is top 10, you really do NOT know what you are talking about. "Dethroning Champions" loses a LOT of lustre when there's 4-5 champs per division. You understand that right?
