Does anyone know why Sturm changed his name from his birth name ?

It is isn't it. I thought with the Pirog fight off his options were limited. Great fight.

Marketing reasons after basing himself in Germany. Sturm is German for Storm I'm pretty sure.

Im finished watching all the relevant footage of golovkin.

Conclusion: pirog is going to kick this guys ass. Gennady's only advantage is his heavy hands. But i dont think he will be landing much at all.

Bit worried for Geale in this fight. Took far too many jabs against Sylvester. Say what you want about Sturm but it is well documented that he has a wor;d class jab, right up their with the best its that good. Geale has superb footwork, getting better fight after fight, and its become a useful weapon for him because he was draw leads from Adama and counter him. But Sturm is more clever than Adama. He will have the gloves up high, make Geale throw hooks but Daniel does tend to throw a bit wide with hooks and like i said, Sturm's jab is class and he will gladly use that for 12 rounds. Close fight, Sturm will land the cleaner shots, Geale hasn't the power to keep Sturm honest unfortunately.

Badlefthook that is a pretty good run down of the fight... But I still think with fair judges due to work rate geale just gets it by a smidgen

Agree about Sturms jab, it was really working for him in his last fight and he has shown an outstanding jab throughout his career. Geale may not have massive power but I think he has enough on his shots to make Sturm think twice.
