Good list RTB.Did you not rate Argullo that much before Pryor,or was that your first proper viewing?

Klitschko vs Lewis - Vitali showed amazing heart in that bout and was respected more after losing (remember he was booed coming into the ring that night with people questioning his heart after having to quit on his stool previously due to his shoulder injury)

Froch vs Kessler - Carl keeps his left hand up a lot more than he used to after this bout and seems a more intelligent boxer than the all guns blazing style he used to have. Also he never let the loss affect him badly (even if he did maintain he should have got the decision) and continues to take on top opposition and in most cases come out on top

Didn't know about Dirrell until the super six and was very impressed with his boxing against Froch, a fight he should have won, he made Froch look slow.

    Hello SJS,

Roy Jones Jr at the Olympics? Watched that again last night, however the judges came to that conclusion I'll never ever know.

    McGuigan after Stevie Cruz?

    Great thread by the way...:good

I rated Arguello very highly long before that, all his best work came before that fight but he showed balls in defeat and put up a great fight vs the beast of 140 (the dude they were saying Leonard was scared to fight)....that loss enhanced his legacy imo....a lotta my picks were more less fighters who I felt in defeat managed to enhance their standing or their overall image

Pacquiao losing to Marquez and MOrales.

He realizes he has to be technically sound correcting his flaws and techniques in the ring. Instead of throwing wild punches off balance lunging in reckless can't fight backwards. It was a boxing clinic administered by Morales and Marquez and Pacquiao has learned a great deal.

Sturms loss to De la Hoya is still his biggest win.

That's exactly why I think it's a joke when people try to use SRL's first fight with Duran against him.For me that fight enhanced his legacy hugely.
I just read the new bio about Arguello from the guy who wrote Hands Of Stone.
It was fabulous. One of the best boxing books of the last ten years, and I've read most of the main ones.
