"We filed a defamation of character lawsuit in the federal court in Las Vegas, Nevada, against the Mayweathers, Oscar De La Hoya and Richard Schaefer based on their false and defamatory statements about Manny Pacquiao -- specifically their publicly stating that Pacquiao was taking steroids or other illegal drugs to enhance his performance -- knowing that there is absolutely no basis for any such assertions," said Pacquiao's attorney, Dan Petrocelli, at the time of the filing.

"We may be naming others as well, and may be adding others who have made comments since the lawsuit was filed. These guys have no right saying what they're saying. It's knowingly false, highly injurious," said Petrocelli. "Manny has an absolutely unblemished reputation, and accomplished extraordinary achievements through hard work and preparation. He can't sit by and allow people to accuse him of cheating because they can't beat him in the ring."

"They said that he cheated and that he took performance enhancing drugs with no basis at all. None at all" said Arum. "And they were the ones who started the whole thing. So, if you're Manny Pacquiao, do you want them to be involved with your promotion after they did a horrendous thing like that?"

no basis for the accusations? ****en oath i completely agree.. and then you refused to take the test a blood test...

you took it for the first morales fight, why not now?

if i were manny and i were clean id drag out the issue a little bit then use it get leveridge in negotiations "ill take the test but i want more incentive to do so (cash)"

then take the test and spit in mayweathers face and prove to the world you are clean

i mean he had so much to gain by doing that but when he declined he just brought a HUGE question mark over himself...

As if Bob Arum needed an excuse to keep Pacquiao fights in house :rofl

The old codger is as shameless as they come. I shall be in the streets celebrating when his old heart eventually gives out on him as he has one wank to many over his stacks of green paper.

    ****.

was it not the worst insult to boxing fans when the interviewer recently asked bob if he plans to retire anytime soon and he puts on a smile and says

"no.. im having way to much fun"..... what a cocksucker. i know he's job is to manage a fighters career and make them successful but he is kind of shooting himself in the foot here... even if pac lost to mayweather back when the fight was first ment to happen it would not of tarnished pacquiaos rep.... and prob would have been big enough to ******t a rematch...

instead he shits on boxing fans, HELL EVERYONE IN TEAM PAC AND MAY WANT THE FIGHT.. its just arum

Well, GBP and Manny settled the lawsuit out of court. However Pac and May are still suing each other yet May called Pac direct. Obviously Arum was lying.

They didn't take a blood test for drugs its a drugs test for dieseases (such as HIV ofcourse) fighters have to take that test I think it is every time they fight however for the Morales fight they lost his results or something and had to test him again. Hence why Team Pacquiao cited that blood test makes him weak.

We have seen some pretty wild claims by fighters to explain their losses. Most call them excuses. I call it a coping mechanism. Psych 101: Humans have a need for answers and if they don't know the answer will make it up. It is actually plausible that Manny latched onto that blood test as the reason he lost the fight. When he looks back at what was different in his preparations that would stand out.
