Yeah that probably explains his 16 or so consecutive knock out run he went on back in the day.
And you're right on a domestic fighter would win ALL domestic titles. Shame as when Ricky was going to contest the EBU vs Urkal he reneged on the fight for the prodigious WBU instead.

 

The knockout run looks impressive but the fact is that his best wins are close UDs over Kotelnik and Corley...not exactly elite opposition is it? I see him as around the level of Paul Mccloskey, above euro level but below world class :deal

 

Irrelevant. He was hardly in any position to bargain and wasn't even expected to be a triple domestic champ let alone win a legitimate world title.
And his best wins also included Harris. Ndou and Bergman. Fighters that win WORLD TITLES of the WBC variety are not 'Euro level'.
Pretty obvious you're just the typical Hatton parrot who either never watched his fights, choose not to recall them, or repeating the same repetitive bull**** written on these board by other Hatton clones.

 

I never liked Hatton. I thought his style was sloppy and ugly to watch, and he had no real defence. That being said, I did like his heart, determination and bodypunching:

He would probably beat Khan. The way to beat Khan is pressure, power, and infighting. Hatton would be charging at Khan, throwing bodypunches, never letting him off the hook...Khan would be running all over the place trying to get away. Khan would be competitive due to his sheer speed, combinations and Hatton's lack of defence, but I would pick Hatton. If Khan matures and evolves as a fighter he would have the potential to win, but the current Khan is too amateurish when dealing with aggression and pressure.

Judah vs Hatton is more of a difficult fight to predict, because Judah has the tools to KO or stop Hatton, but he also has mental meltdowns in the ring when people pressure him. I suspect that, due to Hatton's lack of defence, Judah would eventually catch him with a counter uppercut or right hook as Hatton charges in, and that would end it. (If Hatton can weather the first few rounds, he could probably break Judah down and win, though.)

Marquez beats Hatton. Too smart and skilled.

No its not. Thems the facts. We both know who he beat. We both know he won a world title. Yet still you're insistent that he's domestic class?
And if you want to poke holes in Witters resume its easy to do the same with Hatton. Harris had ONE legitimate loss -in a stunning upset to the unknown Maussa- prior to being demolished by Witter when Harris was the odds on favourite to win. You're just chatting gibberish now. Whatever. Losing in the 2nd round of Prizefighter isn't something to brag about. A level = those who can compete at elite level. Hatton is A-/B+ imo. Witter is above domestic level but below world class level, he is a decent fighter but nothing special = B- :deal

 

No if you read my posts i said he was above domestic class but not quite world class. Yeh he won a world title....a vacant one by beating Demarcus Corley...a good fighter but hardly a Kosta Tszyu..

 

Hatton would take a large following to Vegas. His section of the crowd were always very loud and vocal (almost as if Ricky was the home fighter.)

Obviously other fighters created great atmospheres but Hatton's army were the best in my opinion.
