Every year we get a new rule book from USA boxing and the banned substance list is usually modified simply because there are new drugs that make the banned list.

Again its our responsibility to know what we are taking whats on that list and to avoid taking anything on that list.

 

Actually it is banned if you take it a couple of weeks prior to the fight, there is a time limit from what Floyd supporters have said, in other words they have stated Floyd can use it in training but can not use it 2 weeks out from the fight.

If you don't think my answer is plausible, then you're basically saying that The USADA is lying(because this was exactly a reason they gave for their actions) and that there were some improprieties.

 

That's great, it's still a banned substance by The NSAC, and not WADA. If it comes up in the post fight test for the NSAC, you're in trouble. If comes up at any time for WADA tests, you're fine.

 

Not true, because if it comes up through WADA, the commissions have it on their banned substance list, you must honor both list.

Well, this poses an interesting question. The commission only tests for what is in you 'post fight'. Would it be allowed with extended testing? Currently the commission's effective policy is to only ban what is in you fight night. I doubt they'd have two lists if they went to extended testing.

 

Simply pointing out why I think it doesn't make sense to me.

 

Traditionally they do a pre fight and a post fight drug test, The list of banned substances from the commission and the testing agency both must be followed.

 

I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't criticize Monzon for his actions outside of the ring. However, that isn't the case.

That still doesn't change the fact that the lists aren't identical. If the lists aren't indentical, then knowing what's on one of them won't mean that you know everything that's on the other one.

Not as i recall. Awhile back Kizer came out and explicitly said (paraphrasing here) that any testing the fighters do through USADA is on them and outside the scope of what the NSAC does and would have no bearing on what they do. It was in the agreement drawn up between Floyd/GBP, etc and USADA that stated they would divulge all results to the NSAC to do as they wish. USADA has no ability to stop a fight or do anything other than report results.
