Isn't Lara with GBP as well too? Should be an easy fight to make.

 

remember this is not about boxing but about a freak show...Lara is high risk-low reward.
they probably will get a blown welter or one eyed Margo, or chubby Mayorga.

 

Lara will say he has a knee injury or that he's about to get a testicle removed... In the end, some huge underdog and forgotten no-hoper will fill the void such as Angulo or one forgotten middle like John Duddy will come down in weight for the payday...

 

I think Lara would win. For all the speculation that Kirkland would be a big test because he packs a punch I honestly think Canelo would have won inside the distance without stepping out of first gear. I don't think he'd have that luxury with a southpaw that can dictate the pace of a fight, outbox you, has enough punching power to hurt opponents and the hand speed to get shots off at awkward angles.

As much as I love watching Lara fight I'm not going to pretend it'd be an easy fight. I reckon he could stop Canelo, but if Canelo steps up a gear - and he didn't really appear to in recent fights - then I think he can ask questions of Lara too.

Angulo is in prison. He isn't fighting anytime soon, nor will he likely ever be allowed to return to the USA. Committing a felony while in the country illegally was a bad career move.

Now canelo should fight lara and i see lara schooling alvarez and maybe knocking him out.

 

Really it should be Austin Trout. He's a fellow title holder, beaten some good Mexican fighters in Lopez and Canelo's brother, and will be fighting Rodriguez tommorrow night on Showtime. Definitely would be the best fighter Alvarez has yet to face. That said he could be Alvarez and jeopardize big money fights with Cotto & Mayweather.

I kind of like the Mayorga fight just for the pre-fight drama that Mayorga would bring. Besides all the big names have had a go with Mayorga (Tito, Oscar, Vargas, Cotto, Mosely), it's only tradition for Alvarez to have a fight with El Matador.

 

Canelo-Dzinziruk? Maybe, He already has a smaller fight scheduled for August.

 

Kirkland out of the sep 15 fight according to news bscene and Rafael on face..

 

Canelo-Lara on regular HBO sounds goods to me.

If GB makes this fight and moves forward with their PPV plans then it's outright audacious.
