    Could happen!

Who was the best boxer that Pirog has fought, in your view? How about GGG? Who do you think posed his the kind of problems that GGG will?

you're crazy!!! Pirog is much quicker and better at boxing from outside....not to mention his workrate is infinitely higher than GGG's, He's gonna outhustle him and I'll be sure to bump this for you when he does oh so knowledgeable one.

True, European-style stand-up fighters don't have an inside game, but does Pirog? Can he do what Ouma did, on the inside?

they both have horrible resumes for "champs" but what can you do when no one will fight you.

I would say the best fighter Pirog's faced in Maciel at this point or perhaps Jacobs but it's hard to gauge Jacobs based on his leave since the fight. To be honest I've only followed Pirog since the Jantuah fight so not sure how to answer the question as to who was most similar to Golovkin....no one since then really....if I'm reaching again I'll have to say Maciel.

Best on GGG's resume imo is Ouma and that's just sad.

At the pro level Pirogs resume is actually much better as is his bigger fight experience.

Not that impressed with Pirog's opposition either. He looks very cute, but how effective is he? And how cute and effective will he be against someone as good as GGG. Lest we forget, the latter can box very well, not just bang; he's and beaten all styles. And will Pirog throw as much and as freely when he knows he has to be really careful?

Have to go with Golovkin for now.

They both have a pretty good inside game actually but they're both at their best at mid-range.

They are not going to fight on the inside. From what I've seen, GGG would have the advantage mid-range, and Pirog on the outside. Can Pirog keep it on the outside though?

Dont think the fight will eventuate,Pirog like most Middleweights will most likely dodge Golovkin.!!!!

I think we are on the exact same wavelength for this fight and you hit the nail on the head with that comment. Pirog looks very good against opposition he can manipulate and control but how will he look against an opponent who bring their own set of potent weapons to the table and will come to the ring with their own well thought out plan. Golovkin has beaten guys like Bute and Dirrell in the amateurs, that is reason enough to tell me he wont be choking or intimidated come fight night. How will Pirog deal with not always being in control or having things his own way?

The inside is where Pirog is most comfortable imo. Watch his fight vs Jantuah. Pretty entertaining fight and really shows off his inside skills. It's also one of his top 3 wins and a very underrated one.

Golovkin is the one who i had never seen fight on the inside for large periods before the Ouma fight. I was sort of worried after that fight that Sanchez was going to try and turn him into another Jirov but based on his last few fights where's he's been himself again im happy that is not the case. I believe they had been working on his inside game and the Ouma fight was him wanting to test himself.

Pirog has the edge in the infighting department, certainly in regards to defense, but while Golovkin may not be quite as polished with his inside game his power is a equalizer.

I dont think its really wise for Pirog to fight on the inside against Golovkin such is GGG's accuracy and power. In my opinion he would be better to mix the fight between mid and long range to keep Golovkin guessing with an active jab to keep GGG off balance. Although Pirog certainly isnt slow i dont think he is so fast and defensively sound that he wouldnt get picked off with sharp counters on the way in and ambush attacks on the way out.
