Has Ward the courage to go fight Froch in England?

So **** on Showtime for waiting on Bute who went from suga to ****...

Dan Goosen went to bat for his fighter and secured a great deal.. Its about getting the best deal for your fighter.. thats Boxing business.. at the end of the day the fighter has to perform.. AKA Win.. thats what Ward has been able to do with Goosen handling the Promotion...

 

So just because Goosen was able to sort Ward the best deal with his mates at showtime it makes it fair?:rofl

Personally, the mechanics behind what happened are obvious, doesn't make it any less of a unfair situation.

Maybe froch and certainly kessler should have refused to travel whilst they were champs. In kesslers case, being the champ and going to Oakland to fight a fighter ranked as ward was should never have happened. Problem is if they adopted this approach there would never have been any tournament.

 

Dude come on now.. Really... Promoters do their thing... thats what they get paid to do.. Goosen has a P4P Champ in his camp.. and he has been there since the beginning.. so he help build the Ward Brand..

Now lets look at Mick Hennessey.. He was not able to build the Froch Brand and got his ass canned.. He could not get the exposure for Froch on Sky like Froch wanted.. The new guy Froch has has the connections to make things happen.. and has put Froch in a favorable position... So lets not hate on what the Promoter does, Fair or not...

Promoters try to make the best deal for their fighters.. Ward didn't look at the fight schedual Cry and say oh no im not going over seas to fight.. Dan I must prove myself to fans who don't even know me..

Ward look at the sched, fought the fights and Won..

If the fight sched had Ward fighting away, I bet all my money that he would have fought the fights and still Won..

 

I am not in argument with anything you say to be fair. Much of it being just how it is.. dissapointing

However, if you believe that ward wasn't bothered about travelling then i suggest you cannot be so sure. i also, agree that ward couldn't give a **** about proving a few hardcore fans wrong.

I would have thought that being a tournament that the promoters would be told to go **** themselves when they tried to get the "best deal" Especially one that involved not fighting away from home when every other fighter had to.

For me it is about agendas and Ward and his team certainly had one in relation to returning the favour and fighting an away leg.

It was and is inevitable that ward fans would ok the situation using the fact that he was always going to win the tournie. Even if the best fighter didn't have to take the risks that the other did for whatever the reason when imo the reason doesn't matter.

 

Would all this supposed travelling make Andre Ward watchable? He is boring as hell.

 

not really.. imo watchable he isn't.

Just imagine what folk would think, especially those defending the ward situation, if froch or kessler insisted on the home advantage throughout the S6.

Firstly i doubt very much they would have got away with it and would have been rightly ridiculed for doing so.

Ward got away with it and it went under the radar unlike it would have for any of the other fighters.

 

This is the reason for this thread. Andre beat three European fighters and now those fans are butt hurt. If Ward lost along the way, especially to Froch, this thread wouldn't exist.

Fighters can win at home, and lose to the same opponent away. Because away from home winning is a lot harder.

The three European fighters had to go to Ward, if he fights Abraham in Germany, or Froch in England or Kessler in Denmark he will be giving away the same advantage they already gave him. But he won't do that, he'll stay at home like he has his whole career. Because it's an advantage that he likes.

If i was a champion at smw I would go to nottingham to fight froch **** that.

Id fight some were in america or a neutral place like canada or some ****.

 

Equally it could be said that if ward had submitted to the same rules as all the others we wouldn't have this thread..

Why can't Ward behave like someone who believes in his own abilities?

Kessler was champ and still met Ward abroad. Froch was champ and still met Kessler abroad.

Ward is champ and only wants to stay at home.

Ward wouldnt fight Froch, with a tiny cut by his eye, which he got months earlier, but now fought Froch with a broken hand.
