Pavlik says he would knock Froch out and Pavlik doesn't lie - right? So why is Froch ducking Pavlik after fighting Bute, Pascal, Taylor, Abraham, Dirrell, Ward, Kessler & Johnson? Why is Froch so afraid of Pavlik when Pavlik is so eager to fight him?
Not sure if you joking but if Pavlik was close what he was against Taylor this would be long night for Froch...
Honestly I already see improvement with Lowe the man knew forward and backward, with Garcia you see his hands up, he picks off the jab, hooks alot better even hooks off the jab and his footwork looks great..... I think Froch should take this fight before Kelly gets any better, cus two more fights, Kelly will be back, and that Kelly will abuse Froch IMO
LOL If there's a guy that deserve respect for NOT ducking anyone, it's Carl Froch. And you really think he would be ducking a washed up Kelly Pavlik? Completely stupid insinuations. He is (from this point of view) what boxing should be like.
Honestly Froch earned my respect, I mean years back when posters had his picture in the avatar honestly I thought the guy was ****, even when Dirrell out boxed him which I do feel Dirrell won that fight. But he has moved on and done some good things the man is tuff..... and I do not believe Kelly is washed up only a fool would think that.
Good points.:think As armchair boxing fan I thought Pavlik looked to have pretty good technical skills already in his middleweight days and if Pavlik is now getting better training by Garcia you never know how good Pavlik might get.:good
The first part that you talk about Froch and Dirrell, I agree 100%. As for the rest...I'll be honest. Pavlik didn't impressed me that much since his return. The only thing going his way is that he is far from Youngstown and his demons. Pavlik have a lot of pop in his hands but I'm not in love with his style.
What does Froch gain from this fight exactly? If he wins people will say Pavlik is shot. If he loses he has lost to some inactive drunk guy. Not a fight any champion would take I don't think - Pavlik is still a little bit too dangerous. Though I still feel if you give him a bit of lateral movement and a few angles he doesn't really know what's going on and I think Froch is a far better boxer than people give him credit for. Who has Pavlik fought since he's been back in the ring exactly? It's easy for people to say he looked good against 35 year old Aaron Jaco who was got KO'd by a guy with 7-13-5 record (a win % of 27) two fights before he met Pavlik. But hey, whatever, the fight is unlikely to happen. Froch would rather rematch Kessler, quite rightly IMO, that's a great fight right there.
He already adjust some things to his arsenal that was necessary. Before it was 1-2 combo non stop. At least, he is hitting the body much more now. It's fine but I'm not sold on him since B-Hop exposed him. We may never know BUT...as long as they don't drain him like Brandon Rios in his last fight....It's much more than that. Rios didn't have any answer to Abril style.
I think Pavlik and Froch would be great. Not sure who would win that, assuming Kelly comes in very good shape. Froch is definitely not ducking him though. Froch is fearless.
