I cant see anything wrong with booing a national anthem, are Americans so damn patriotic and proud that they can't handle some small nation on a rock in the middle of nowhere booing them? I couldn't give a **** if one one booed God Save the Queen.

The UK is an old nation with a torrid history. The US is still new and has slightly more passionate views about its identity. Don't worry you'll grow out of it eventually.

Everything about that fight was great, the build up, 24/7, the promotional tour in the UK, the weigh in and the fight!!!!

I don't know why UK fans have to boo other countries national anthem, especially when we are so sensitive about anything patriotic too.

Just reinforces the statement that idiots are not confined to one country but many......But whatever!

I don't know, the few British people I've met with whom I've discussed my thoughts on the Queen didn't seem too happy. I said that I thought the Queen was kind of useless in the modern age (on two separate occasions), and you would have thought that I had told these people that I had raped their daughter and murdered their sons... So to me that seemed a bit overly patriotic. I don't want to generalize, as I'm sure that there are many British that don't like their pseudo monarch. But it would be very easy for me to ask: Are Brits so damn patriotic and proud that they can't handle a non-politician criticizing their Queen? And this despite the UK being "an old nation with a torrid history"...

You're way off pal. Most Brits are pretty indifferent to the Queen they couldn't give a **** one way or the other.Go in any bar raise the subject and someone will diss the Monarchy, others may defend it.
As for booing anthems personally I hate it and get embarrased by it,but in Europe at football matches it's the done thing. The hatton fans wouldn't have thought they weren't doing anything particularily wrong,It's perceived as a way of upsetting your opponents and making them feel they're in a hostile place.
It obviously worked with Pretty Boy!

  7. English fans, not British. Though I doubt many Americans know the difference. :patsch

And this **** has been going on for years. Look at the fans in Minter v Hagler. An absolute ****ing disgrace. :dead:dead:-:)barf

Just look outside and see how much bunting and union jack flags you see....The UK is very pro Monarchy.....We will not be getting rid of them anytime soon...unfortunately.

Personally I think they are useless and no better than the rest of us.....

I disagree, the South are very pro monarchy, venture further up North, somewhere past Birmingham and the monarchy and looked upon very differently. Personally I don't give a **** about them, but I like Prince Harry and Phillip. Thats about it

Tell us. How does it feel NOT to have a Monarchy, particularly this weekend when Britain celebrates her Diamond Jubilee?

Never mind there is always thanksgiving. Which is it you celebrate then, God, or the Turkey? Not that there's much difference.

British boxing fans (and the British boxing media) are often completely insufferable. Floyd's a piece of ****, but he delivered a strong dose of Shutthe****up that night.
