Nope. It's a bad style matchup for Wlad, sanders had the countering ability and handspeed and size to make Wlad play, of course he wouldn't be stuck in cement like he was in the first fight, but he would still eventually be caught.

Even though I agree prime Wlad > Prime Vitali, and they are different fighters with different styles, prime Vit was in mortal danger at one point in his fight with sanders, Wlads chin/mentality woudnt have withstood that onslaught, he would have been KD and from there it would be downhill, because sanders would eventually catch him and from there I can only see a stoppage.

Yes, but he still backs up in straight lines so there's always a chance that a fighter like Sanders would get to him in the same way he did in the first fight.

    :good

Today´s Wlad is much better than any version of Vitali. One-punch-power, movement, footwork, and so on.

These debates boils down to if you believe the Sanders win was a fluke, or if it exposed an unfixable weekness in Wlads personality. Wlad has been steamrolled twice in sixty fights, you cant really expect it too happen every time anyone is able to land on him.

I believe that Wlad, who is a much better boxer, would be able to find an effective approach that would see him through. As he has done prevsiously against better boxers and bigger punchers than Sanders. But I would not bet my house on it.

difference is its easy to counter some stupid young buck who is going to try and slug with you than it is with someone who is going to break you down with the jab all night untill he was tired..this version of wlad would tko sanders i would bet all i own on it even the missus..we can argue till we are blue in the face as weve no way to prove it..but in my opinion sanders dosnt even come close to beating this version of wladimir..sorry man

Vitali beat the crap out of sanders. This in spite of the fact that sanders was very confident going in to it with an easy sensible game plan (take his head off) and in possession of real speed and power. Sanders was reduced to a quivering bloody wreck by the end of that. Vitali would do that in any shape or time of his life against sanders because Vitali is very tough. Wlad is not cut from the same cloth and will always lose against someone who is both fast/accurate, strong and aggressive.

I dont know how this is a question

    I thought this was obvious

And to any one saying Sanders would beat this version is crazy I think

Wlad fixed all the wrongs that let him down in that fight

listen man.no one is saying sanders was great..but he was dangerous.its not as if he was some bum who couldnt fight.if you believe he was then youl believe anything he was tough and durable and hit like a double decker.but he had stamina issues and wasnt a great technician of the game but he was one of tose guys if you took lightly and didnt do your homework he would knock you the **** out hence what happend to wladimir..and tbh sanders hand speed was very very good aswell..but like i said any decent boxer who does their homework on him beats him wlad.did not..

Better defensively but he's not as good offensively. He's too cautious these days, doesn't put his punches together as well and has less variation. Wlad from back then was attacking machine.

Yes, the current Vlad is better. He's a far better balanced and more patient fighter. The Vlad of 2002 was much more offensively oriented, with little to fall back on defensively when things got rough. The 2012 version of Baby Bro is well balanced offensively and defensively.

Vlad is a little like a heavyweight Carlos Monzon, I think. ATG material.
