And floyd also went onto win at 147, 154, what's your point?

If you want to talk about expectation, didn't people expect pac to beat marquez at WW, what the hell happened?

I've been on this forum for years, and I really don't remember any fuss over Pac not fighting 'Guzman, Soto and Nate'. What I do remember is people being in awe of Pac after he beat up Hoya, Hatton and Cotto. (Then the backlash kicked in after he started selecting opponents more carefully, and the PED accusations blew up.) Pac also fought greats like Barrera, Morales and Marquez at the lower weights. He has faults, but I prefer his record to Floyd's record. (And I prefer Floyd's boxing to Pac's style.)

dude, are you a boxing noob? when pac first fought as a WW (against oscar), williams was already fighting as a MW (2 divisions higher). boxrec is your friend. also cotto is right at his prime (at age 28 ) when pac fought him.

meanwhile floyd was already a WW since 2005. him and williams were contemporaries at WW especially back in 2007-2008 when WW was waxing hot and these guys were fighting each other except one name was missing and you know who he is.

Actually when pacquiao fought oscar, williams was only 154. Williams has been happy to come down to 147 to fight either floyd or manny. Secondly cotto wasnt in his prime, cotto prime was pre margarito,he hasn't been the same fighter since.

You calling someone a noob yet saying cotto was right at his prime based on age rather than performances? You are a ****ing idiot. :rofl

I guess Martinez was at his prime when margarito beat him, you damn jackass. :patsch

Also which MW fight did william take when pac first fought del la hoya at WW?

Pac fought Dela Hoya at WW in Dec 2008, Williams had just thought Phillips at 154. So what the **** you talking about?

Williams fought Winky Wright in april 2009.

So no williams was not fighting at MW when Pac fought oscar. Boxing rec is your friend.:deal

difference was martinez at the time was green. cotto at 140 is green when floyd want to fight him. cotto's prime is somewhere around 2007-2009 when he campaigned at WW.

before phillips (which happened several days before pac fought oscar), williams fought kolle and both weighed above 154 which was at MW already wiliams was already a LMW/MW even before pac fought as a WW and you wants pac to fight williams at the time?

Nice spin, but that is not what you said, the fact is williams at the time could campaign easily at WW/LMW/MW, he could make either weight he said this time and time again. So cut the crap.

In 2008 he fought Quintana twice at WW, in 2008 he went up in weight again to fight Kolle which u say was at Middleweight, in 2008 he then went back down again to fight Phillips at 154.

And do you know why he went to 154 for the phillips fight and gave up his WW title? It was because he couldn't secure a meaningful fight at WW.

Piguanani I thought it was about fighting the best? As long as Williams can make weight at 147 what's the problem?:think

Pacquiao fights fighters at disadvantages e.g. Previously KTFO, Weight drained, way past their primes etc...

Mayweather's ability to win rounds and fights, without taking much punishment is amazing.

    Puga..

Are you part of Manny's entourage or what the ****? All day, every day. Give it a ****ing rest. There are other boxers on the planet besides Pacquiao and Mayweather.

so a noob ***** suggested that pac should have fought williams at WW instead of oscar back then and you are riding that bandwagon?

i already proven you guys that williams has already fought as a MW when pac first fought as a WW. also after oscar, pac fought the other relevant WWs at the time while williams stayed at the higher weight and floyd fought marquez.

so you guys are saying that pac should have fought williams instead of oscar at 147 then? are you saying that pac should have fought williams instead of hatton and williams instead of cotto?
