IIRC Dirrell was deducted a point for holding I believe, yet Froch didnt get a single point taken away even though he was intentionally hitting behind the head and body slamed Dirrell! There some home cooking all night for Froch. Still, Dirrell made Froch do the nottingham two step while Frochs best punch was the straight right to the back of Dirrells head. I think Dirrell should have fought a cleaner fight and dont mind too much that he lost because of it, but I felt he clearly beat Froch.

You just self pwned with the comment "Frochs best punch was the straight right to the back of Dirrells head" Froch wouldnt be able to land that unless Dirrell had his back turned which you are not supposed to do, or unless Dirrell was ducking below the belt which is illegal and cannnot be helped if a fighters illegal actions caused it.
Froch threw Dirrell off him for illegal holding, it wasnt a body slam

I already said Dirrell fought a little dirty which lead to some of the rabbit punches, but most of them was Froch positioning himslef to land behind Dirrells head. This strategy was effective for Froch because the ref did nothing about and the judges counted those as scoring punches. Froch landed very luttle punches on Dirrell outsode of rabbit punches.

the fact that froch was getting to dirrell caused him to hold excessively and therefore stink the place out.

He was obviously hurt on more than one occasion and stepped up the holding, turning away and ducking below whenever he came under fire. He made the fight a mess yet froch gets all the blame.

Yes he did catch froch with a hell of a shot that did look to hurt him.. But froch didn't look to immediately hold, in fact he returned fire with fire.

No, I think Froch stands Zero chance to beat Ward so it would be pointless for that fight to happen. I dont think Bute was at his best in that fight and got drawn into the emotions of the crowd and a slug-out. But if you looked at the last fights Ward>>>>Froch>>>>Bute. However, Froch is about two levels below Ward, has zero chance for revenge would only gets school again. While Bute looked a level below Froch but I can see him having the tools to make adjustments to change around the results (especially with a ref that does not allow jackrabbit punches).

What is it with UK refs allowing all these rough house tactics? First, Ricky would maul you to death and then they let Froch hit in the back of the head like its massage. I thought for sure when Bute first got in trouble that they were gonna pull a calslappy stoppage but it happened at the right time.

BTW, Kessler maybe a bit faded but arguably he looked better than ever at 175 (personally I think he has slipped a bit). Froch has not slipped any, is still prime and in fact he might be at his peak over the last year or so.

Dirrell would beat froch in a rematch . . . I hope Bute gets a chance for redemption first

There were a few meaty uppercuts while Dirrell tried to clinch, though. I think they were better.

  14. Only in boxing would fans not want to see the number 1 and 2 in a division fight each other. Ward and Froch after facing each other for 12 rounds will know each others strengths and weakneses and could make for a much better fight

boxing is a strange sport where fans don't want too see multiple fights between top boxers just because one guy beat the other in a one off 30 min contest.

What if Djokovic decided that as world number 1 he no longer needs to play Nadal, Rfed and Murray anymore...but would rather beat guys ranked 10-30 for the rest of his career? sounds ridiculous doesn't it! but not in boxing it doesn't

Nothing strange about not wanting to see another one sided fight. Froch had a good win (against my favourite fighter in the division Bute) but that will in no way change what happened when he faced Ward. The scorecards where not indicative of what happened in the ring where Ward totally dominated Froch. When fighters only fight 2-3 times a year fans want to see the best match-ups possible and not a fight that everyone knows the outcome. Ward/Froch2 would be useless, so would 3, 4 ,5 ,6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 . . . Froch cannot win. Ward is better off facing a real challenge like Dawson, Bhop, Dirrell, Pavlik and hell I think Kessler put on better show.
