    Obviously Pavlik has to get himself back on the map. I am sure if the fight makes sense down the road Froch would not duck Pavlik, he has taken on all comers.

    I don't think I said that. After Hopkins, Kelly made it clear there would be no more weight hopping. Both Kelly and Jack Loew made the point repeatedly so if they called him out they should have been willing to go down. Period.

    Typical ESB moving target bull crap. Pavlik made it clear after Hopkins there would be no more weight jumping yet the call outs from SMW's and their fans alike continued unabated even as they said this proved Kelly couldn't fight at 168. I guess that would be a good reason for these guys to insist he come up to 168 I guess. :patsch

    Kelly was lineal MW champ when Froch called him out at SMW. Karl had no titles and wasn't ranked that high at SMW.

    Froch is a belt holder now that Kelly has moved up to 168 and said he is willing to take the fight now that he has moved up. Now it is Kelly that isn't worthy to even ask for the fight? REALLY?

    I wouldn't have a problem with Froch taking a handy fight that will bag him a few quid against Pavlik. He's had such a good run of opponents he deserves an easy night.

    yeah he's been riding on his name from back when for a while now. time to beat someone decent.

    knock out jr at a catchweight and then fight the winner of froch/kessler II.

    Was Froch "in contention" at 160 when he called Kelly out? You do realize that fights get made on earnings potential don't you? Kelly still has that because of his promotional company.

    He was indeed. But he was a champ and a tough opponent on paper. Pavlik is neither.

    Kelly keeps his guard up. Somehow I think it would be a longer fight.

    Kelly has a great chin. Even if he fought like Bute, he wouldn't have folded like Bute. It would be a sustained beating.

    Yeah, but I don't feel a bit sorry for Froch. He finally got his paydays and should be ready to retire. :D

    in your post you can extract the relevant terms and rewrite: But he was a paper champ.

    pavlik earned the title he had and has shared the ring with more talent than bute has or probably ever will at this point.

    saying pavlik would be a tougher fight isnt saying much considering how badly bute was dominated. so if you think it would be easier your hating pretty hard. i personally don't care im just pointing it out.

    Froch ducking Pavlik :lol::lol::lol:

    Does anyone honestly believe Froch ducks anyone..?. :-(

    Obviously Pavlik needs a good win first to become relevant.
    Froch beats a washed up Pavlik 10 out of 10 fights IMO although it would be interesting to find out for sure...
