Froch would kill Pavlik. If you're a fan of Pavlik you wouldn't want him to stop fighting the bums he's currently fighting for his entire life.
I don't need anything. The fight is up on youtube. Watch it on silent. Pavlik still looked terrible. Most people had it a really close fight. You're a Pavlik nuthugger, if anyones objectivity should be called into question, it's yours. And save me the conspiracy theories please. Showtime wouldn't have shown Pavlik if they had a problem with him.
Regardless he had fought hopkins at 170 and was known to be massive at middleweight.. Weight classes do exist for a reason and kelly pavlik spent enough time boiling down to a weight where he was most effective.. You seem to keep ignoring the fact, so i'll say it again... pavlik is a bigger man than carl froch and rehydated to weights that most super middles can't muster. He is taller than froch, weighs heavier, fought hopkins at 170, yet froch was wrong to be calling him out. :nut Just because pav had said somewhere that he wouldn't be doing 168lb Maybe froch didn't know pav was not interested in 168lb.. Just a thought.
If you don't know the effect that bouncing up and down in weight can have on a fighter, well, not much to discuss here then. Again, you try and put words in my mouth. I've only pointed out the duplicity of those indicating Pavlik has no right to call out Froch NOW that he is SMW when Froch called him out when Froch was SMW and Pavlik was MW. This is going in circles. Again, you seem to have no idea that many fighters have suffered trying to bounce around weight classes. Nothing left here.
How about he fights another smw like Stevenson, Dirrell, AA, Oostuhuzien before he calls out the IBF champ?
i know its not 2008. im saying kelly is going to win. i'm saying he would put up a better fight than bute did. that is all.
Wrong again-maybe you should start a thread up about fighters bouncing up and down and i will agree with you and the masses that it has a big effect.. I just don't see how you can apply it in this instance bearing in mind the situation with pavlik being massive and probably was being hurt more cutting down to MW. he stepped up to 170, fought hopkins and had his ass handed to him. He didn't put on loads of muscle or have to build himself up cos he was already massive. The lad is a natural super middle imo.. Froch or any SMW wouldn't have been exactly asking him to bounce much weight would they? for the record i never said pav didn't have the right to call out froch now. however, i think he has to be realistic, he is nowhere near to being what he was. Doesn't carry the same threat, especially against fighters nigh on equal in size. Has battered and abused his body in recent years. If the fight was to happen now froch would beat the **** out of him.
Pavlik has to prove to me what he can do at this point. He is saying all the right things, but then again, he always has. If he can get back to the level he was when he fought Taylor? The answer is a definite yes. Take Ozell out of Taylor's corner that night against Froch and who do you believe would have won that fight? The main question is whether Kelly has rested or rusted during his time off. Kelly has always had a good jab and they are working on making his left more versatile. That will make it a much different fight than Bute/Froch all by its self. Froch won't/can't bully Kelly like he did Bute. Throw out the point deduction that many argue was unwarranted and Kelly boxed even with Martinez through 8. Who is the better boxer? Martinez or Froch? Bottom line. I know Kelly won't get a shot at Froch next. I'm pretty sure it will be Kessler. I don't see Kessler losing the rematch. I'm not sure of the timeline but one of the Danes said in a response to one of my posts that Kessler was still having vision problems at that point. That would explain some of Kessler's loss of accuracy. Bute could decline a rematch with Froch in favor of a money fight with Kessler and a title shot thinking the Froch fight would still be there. IF Kelly does his part, the fight could then happen. Both want money fights.
While there is some truth to this we have often seen Champs/former champs be given shots on past accomplishments. Not like this is out of the blue. Boxing at that level is about the economics. Froch doesn't care what Kelly brings to the ring as much as what he brings to the table and that cuts both ways.
What's up, D. Good to see ya' on here. But when you've got the same dip**** hater that started this thread http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=403377 coming on here now acting all ignorant demanding to know why Froch is ducking KP, when his only intentions is to stir up other posters to hate.......well...... know what I mean?
