So far Showtime has delivered 2 fights both entertaining! And a very promising young fighter shines against a very game and very decent opponent! Keep'em coming SHOWTIME! :bbb:deal

I wonder how Malinga is going to be after this fight. He's taken a beating. He might as well give it up after this.

Mulinga is clearly rusty, and clearly not a top fighter. I'm impressed at what Santa Cruz is offering, and what he's displaying, but all the weaknesses he needs to iron out are going to be starkly displayed when him and his team watch the tape.

He'll improve. He comes from a boxing family and a great camp. And he clearly does what is hardest and rarest in boxing(conditioning) at the championship level. He'll get there, and he's fun to watch. Might be a future star.

    Round 12

Santa Cruz works the jab, and works to the body. Mulinga keeps pushing forward, lunging with straight shots and getting ducked and slid under. Double uppercut to the bottom of the chin by Santa Cruz and then a big left hook. Mulinga throws some arm punches, determined, coming forward and getting hooked high on the head. Rights to the body by Santa Cruz. Mulinga throws a shoveling left out from long range and Santa Cruz dips over to the side with his gloves pinned together. Straight combos by Santa Cruz, piercing through Mulinga's guard. Mulinga has CHEEN. Long right by Santa Cruz, thumbs turned up, then a jab, and another right and another jab. Damn. Stiff jab to the nose by Santa Cruz, and then a spanking right down low. Mulinga walks into more jabs, and flush right crosses to the face. Mulinga will not back down!! Reaching over, getting a couple of shots in past Santa Cruz's!

    120-108 Santa Cruz

Mulinga blows, shown his toughness but that's about it. No power and no movement = no good.

Truth. Slow, bad footwork, and no sense of timing or rhythm at all.

On the other hand, Santa Cruz displayed in the late rounds a great jab. That, and the constant, steady body attack probably had a lot to do with it.
