You actually think the Froch -Ward was clean? That was a boring, dirty fight when the majority of the punches that connected were actually landed during the separation from clinches. The mere fact that that fight has more hugging than a porno film says it all.

Froch does not know how to throw punches after clinch, while Ward mastered that ugly style- --- that is just outhustling, not really outboxing. you push, then throw a p'unch is really not my cup of tea, but you go to orgasm watching those. to each his own.

I think you are confused Gamboa has more natural talent than Ward but Ward has more skill. Why do you think Gamboa left top rank to join Mayweather? Gamboa has a lot to learn but he is learning it quick

 

Both Holmes and Tyson where A+ fighters in their time but have two totally differnt skill sets so yeah two fighters can have different styles and skillsets and still be considered A+.

WTF are you talking about? Man do you know anything about boxing . . . WOW? I am not a fan of Wards but that fight was a thing of beauty. you could not see how masterful he was in the ring? REALLY? are you saying that if Froch decides to clinch he is suppose to stop throwing punches? Froch's only hope was to make the fight dirty and try to rough him up on the inside but Ward beat him up on the inside and he had no answers. Yup, there you have it . . . as soon as someone is consider to be great and considered to be a challenge to Calslappy position in the division. bailey tries to knock him down a few levels. On another thread he started saying he would beat dawson easily. he tried to make dawson look like a nobody that went to LHW to basically duck Joe. thenhe went on to say that since he has no legacy at SMW he should be an easy win for Ward.

Of course he did this for several reasons. he takes a shot at dawson (who many people Calsappy ducked/avoided), next he will discredit Ward if he loses because Dawson was never any good to begin with. finally, if he did not beat dawson as easily as he said than Ward is not really that good because dawson was a nobody and SMW.

If Ward is not an A fighter than why would you pick him over the bigger man who is top 10 p4p? this is some funny stuff here bailey . . . lol. So i guess you are saying the man who beat Bhop the worst he since RJJ was never that good . . . so what does that say about the fighter who Got a W on the cards but many think he lost to Bhop?

 

IDK about Dawson he lost to Pascal and instead of calling him out after the Hopkins win he called out someone a weightclass below him.

How will Dawson be the bigger man, when Ward was a LHW as an amateur and the fights at SMW , where Dawson has no pedigree like he does for beating men alot older at LHW

 

Froch got frustrated and started loading his punches in the first fight, trying to a land a big one. That nearly always back fires. If you are getting outboxed it is the worse thing you can do, you need to go for speed.

That is why froch was a lot better against Bute.

That said, froch's comment his hands did not hurt at the end of the fight which they nearly always do said everything.

froch is so arrogant he only learns from being beaten. Prior to the kessler fight time and time again he did not listen to his trainer (who is very good) even when only winning in the last seconds against taylor.

When Froch listens to his trainer he is far better. He is nearly 35 and Ward was a level up so big call on Froch being able to beat Ward.

I agree it seems unlikely but i do think he could give Ward a lot more problems than people think based on the first fight. Ward does not get caught clean so I am not sure what happens the day he gets tagged by a big puncher. he might go years like Roy Jones before we find out.

If Froch showed no ability to up his game I would agree a rematch would not interest me. The point is froch has.

Ward is very slick and does move way better than most of the elite boxers of his generation. To early yet to really rate him. Dawson is a lot better than people think but lazy which has cost him fights.

I expect a boring but brilliant fight from these two. If Ward makes Dawson look like Froch then he takes a big step forward. Thats the problem these days you can only be Sugar ray leonard if you have duran, hearns, hagler to prove it.

 

Ward is probably around a B+ maybe A-. Somewhere around there. He is only fighting leftovers, where their losses all date back to the previous champ

I just wonder how Joe fan can be this annoying and delusional, there is not fans of true greats like SRR SRL ALI HAGLER etc hyping them and bashing every fighter that ever fought in their division, but i guess thats because they are ATG, i guess you are just insecure about Joes greatness-not even the greatest British fighter!!!

 

Not a big fan of Ward at all but anyone that gives him less than an A is clearly showing their agenda. Personally I feel he is an A+ fighter, however if people put him down as an A I can certainly see where there coming from.

 

This is why ive stopped discussing Calzaghe or at least cut down on it, you rarely come accross an objective arguement.:good
