Prime Jeff Lacy vs. Lucian Bute?

The guy aint THAT terrible lol, just couldnt handle Frochs pressure and power

Jeff Lacy was in 100x the better position then Bute too.

Lacy was much younger after his devastating loss.

His loss was also 100% explainable.

It was simply a young up and coming champion not quite ready for the current super champion.

Big Deal he could have recovered and went on to dominate

he didn't

Bute's is different

in that he is 32 years old now and arguably mid prime to late prime ... already for a non Heavyweight


Froch is just a good B+ Fighter

Calzaghe was an ATG


Bute's career could be over

Lacy is **** fullstop, the guy got destroyed by a shot Roy Jones I'm not even sure if Lacy landed punch, and namin belts doesn't make him sound any better anyone can get belts these days

 

Lacy has the better chin, and good punching power. I see Lacy getting to and stopping Bute. Lacy was never the same after Calzaghe, it's like Hagler-Mugabi, Chavez-Taylor

How do you feel Froch - Prime Lacy would play out? I can see Froch stopping Lacy within 8 :yep

 

Lacy has a good punch and a good heart, other than he is ****. COuldnt even beat shot fortysomething Roy Jones.


He won titles in an empty division where the champions wouldnt be champs if they were in LH or MW.

 

Lol damn, eeeaaassssyyy. . . Bute ain't done nothing bad enough to be seriously compared H2H with toggle bolt Lacy. . . Getting sparked out by a world class, rugged ass champion like Froch is something many a boxer could succumb to - boxers who are much better than Lacy.

I see it being an entertaining fight, both guys have good chins and are there to be hit. If Froch springs and hits Lacy with volumes of punches he's going to beat him hands down, I don't see how Lacy could beat the iron chinned Froch. I'll go with a Froch decision.

How do you feel Froch-Kessler 2 will play out? Especially if it's in Nottingham. Do you see Froch boxing off the backfoot again, or do you see him taking the fight to Kessler this time, in an attempt to establish himself as a clear winner? :hey

If Zaggers can put Lacy on his arse, there is no doubt that The Cobra would be able to do the same - at least. I can see Froch brutalising Lacy from the get go, until Froch forces the stoppage.

Froch - Kessler II would be FOTY candidate, for sure :thumbsup. As much as I like Kessler, he has aged more than Froch has and I would put my money on a Froch decision. That Sauerland stooge Tilliman wouldn't be allowed anywhere near the UK, let alone the fight :deal.

 

My goodness. You guys hate to all hell on US fighters.......except when it is to the benefit of Calzaghe. You have no interest in accuracy or fairness, you just want what's best for Calzaghe. Even when it comes at the expense of a guy like Froch. I'll give credit though, at least you are transparent about it, unless you are trying not to be.

As for the specific thread topic, a case can be made for both. I don't think lacy had the skills to really trouble Bute though. So, in the absence of a fight changing punch it go 65/35 Bute. I don't think Bute's hin could take Lacy's power but i don't think he has the skills to consistently land.

 

Bute ! Lacy was a horrible boxer ! But I see whats going on ..People are trying to downplay Bute and uplift Lacy ..Agenda....:think Nah no way !
