I watched a video a while back. This what Angelo Dundee said his exact words. He said Really giant guys are not great fighters because there bodys need so much more oxygen and smaller Heavyweights do not. He said there have been giant fighters in the past but they got beat. He said the Heavyweight Division would go back to the old days sooner or later. I been looking to post the video i saw on youtube were he was talking about it. I think he is 100% right
Dundee was wrong, I think. The great big guys like Lennox Lewis and the K Bros are the wave of the future. The only small heavyweights that might beat them are ATG types, such as Tyson, Holyfield, Ali, Holmes, and Joe Louis.
Vitali whooped his ass, dominated him and scared him into retirement. Vitali and Wlad have both easily surpassed Lewis.
All of the ridiculously overrated American HW champs of the past need asterisks next to their names because they were really only local champs, not world champs. They never fought any Eastern Europeans, Cubans, Africans, etc. in the pros. All of the best heavyweights from USA, UK, Russia, Poland, Uzbekistan, Africa, Cuba, etc. have been defeated by the Klitschkos. The Klitschkos are the two greatest heavyweights of all time. They would dominate any era.
you just beat yourself up with that statement, because there will be guys like Tyson, Ali, Foreman, Holyfield and Holmes that will resurface again at heavyweight. This is what Dundee is saying and once they do the will be able to outwork big athletic heavyweight to get the wins over guys like Lewis and the Klitzchos.
