First Winky now Shane. Hopefully Roy will call it a day and not go on with his June 30th bout; he still thinks he's the same Roy #andstill

A couple of years late. Should have stuck with Jin.

Anyway...thanks for the early part of your career, Sug. :good You were an ATG lightweight, and arguably the most exciting of your era. Damn good welterweight, too. (during the initial run, when still a 154 virgin)

well, at least his last loss he went out fighting, I guess he's satisfied now. Hopefully he got a good chunk of cash on the way out

His best win, in terms of who he beat and when and where and how he beat them would be completely unarguable. ODLH, at 147. It's the ultimate proof of how good he was, at his best, out-slugging a great fighter who could take him the distance. It may not be enough to call him an ATG, in many books, however, even with all the accomplishments he's had. He will go to the HOF though. I have no doubt of that.

I approve of every inch of this post.

(which renders on my monitor as less than 1" of text without zooming in on the paragraph from default size)

Yeah I pretty much agree with you guys, too. The thing of it is, Shane was one of those guys who took on extremely difficult challenges with guys who were stuck on the outside looking in with both Forrest and Winky. He also took immediate rematches with each after losing to them.

His critics will have a field day with those losses, but TO ME, those are examples that enhance Shane's legacy.

HE ALWAYS WANTED TO FIGHT THE BEST (even when it was ill advised to do so).

100% Hall of Famer, epic win in his first fight with Oscar, and as IB mentioned an extraordinary fighter at 135.

I agree with this and add that Mosley continually gave the fans great fights. His battle with Cotto was epic and his turn back the clock beat down of Margarito was devastating. Certainly in the HOF.
