Lets look at what he's done in the last 3 years... 2009 -Horribly one sided loss vs. Floyd. Floyd was a bit heavier but the gulf in class was IMMENSE. JMM looked utterly lost. 2010 -Marquez fights Juan Diaz, a guy he TKO'd a year ago who is coming fresh off a loss to MALIGNAGGI. 2010 -Good win over Katsidis. Yet Katsidis is no world beater, not to mention he knocked JMM down. 2011 -Third bout with Pac. I thought JMM won this, but the judges didn't. This fight didn't really show that JMM deserves his P4P status, but rather how horrendously limited Pac is. Bottom line, he didn't win. 2012 -Beats Fedchenko down like the protected fighter he is. Odds were 10-1 that JMM would win this. Waste of time for a 38 year old fighter who is supposed to be near the top of the P4P list. JMM is clearly most comfortable at 140. WHY does he not try to fight ANY names at the weight? All he ever talks about is Pacquiao. There have been so many good fighters at 140 lbs in the last three years and JMM hasn't fought any of them. He doesn't belong in the top 10 P4P list of anyone. Fight a name at 140 or retire.
I have to agree with you. I'm a huge jmm fan but kind of upset he's wasting his last years on a guy he beat at least twice...he's p4p material but it sucks he's holding out for pac... I would love to see them fight again though if it did happen because its always exciting but hopefully he fights a top 140lbs
Beating the p4p king at 38 years old, several divisions above your prime weight doesnt put you in the p4p top 10???? If people gave a **** what the judges say, they wouldnt be praising Pea performance in the Chavez fight, or Abril's in the Rios fight, ect.. Point being: Stop watching boxing if you actually believe all that stupid **** you just posted.
He deserves medals and ESB love after dominating Pacquiao who is supposedly the best fighter in the world. **** sake
I mean really, *******s ain't even this stupid.. so PAC got his ass schooled by a 40 year old LW that's not even top P4P material.. What a ******... this is well below ******* standards.
Any longer without any relevant fight should drop him dramatically from no. 3 (or whatever his place is). His body of work and the fact that he showed very strong against the no. 1 guy means he still deserve to be at the top 10.
