Bah. Kid Gavilan is a Top 5 all-time Welterweight and the cut and dried #1 contender in the division when Robinson beat him twice; Henry Armstrong is a Top 5 ATG period who was the #2 WW in the world under Robinson and for good reason: He'd gone 21-2 in the preceding 12 months to their fight, losing only to Beau Jack and Willie Joyce with wins over Joyce, Sammy Angott, Tippy Larkin, Lew Jenkins, Fritzie Zivic, Juan Zurita. Past-peak for sure, but by all means an elite fighter at the time no matter how much people like to pretend he wasn't. Other wins over top contenders such as Tommy Bell, Jackie Wilson, George Costner... None of these men resembling anything close to white. Then yes of course, he beat LaMotta five times, Angott three times (once at LW when Angott was #1 there and months before he won the title), Zivic twice (Top 3 WW at the time), Olson four times, Turpin (half black); Fullmer & Basilio; Graziano, an undefeated Marty Servo, future WW champion... On and on. :deal

Well Done on the video, mate. and as for the Resume... Why not post it as one of those standard 'resume' posts, and see what all the trolls/alts/idiots have to say! '
Great, that's where I got my inspiration from. it's a bit hard to make a good vid when you're source material is similar. I'm gonna do a few on more obscure fighters in the future if i have time. Much more satisfying when yours is one of the only ones on Youtube.
Not to mention material on Robinson is short. At least compared to post-1970 fighters where you have virtually their entire careers to work with on film. Still, the tape on Robbi is worth appreciating; some fighters have next to zero. Ray would be considered a myth. Although he in his welterweight prime approaches mythical legend
