yeah true i forgot about clottey being dropped with a jab, i would swap clottey with chisora. You forgot to put margarito on that list

Mikkel Kessler (could be turning Glassy with age and punishment)
Mike Alvarado
Brandon Rios
Arthur Abraham
Bernard Hopkins (again, could be turning to Glass since he is ancient)
Chisora (I would like to see him against a two-handed Vitali before giving him Iron Chinned Warrior status)

Floyd has taken far more punches from good punchers than people realize because of the rightful credit he gets for his masterful defense. The guy's Chin has been tested in multiple divisions and the only time he was ever hurt was against Mosley and that staggering of Money May is WAY overstated. He was wobbled, clinched, and as soon as he broke the clinch he literally proceeded to walk Mosley down and win the remaining part of the round. If he was so close to being knocked down or out as his many detractors like to claim, I very seriously doubt he would have instantly proceeded to come forward punching like a man possessed. Money May has an Iron Chin. End of.

No, he is hurt too easily to have an Iron Chin but he has a ton of Heart and he recovers extremely fast. He is a Warrior, but not an Iron Chinned Warrior.

The criteria shouldn't hinge entirely on who has been "stopped" and who hasn't.

If a non-boxing fan took a look at Mike Tyson and Ricardo Mayorga's resume they'd be forgiven for thinking both had glass chins. Of course if they actually watched those fights, they'd have seen the punishment they withstood from quality opposition with big punches...

That clinch versus Mosley was one of the best pieces of boxing your likely to see. Floyd took a huge right hand, was stunned, and still had the smarts to hold Mosleys right hand under his own arm before Mosley could pull it back. Keeping your wits about you when stunned is not an easy thing to do.

Froch has the most overrated chin in boxing. How so many people rate his chin so high, amazes me. Taylor put him down, Dirrell, Kessler, Abraham, and Johnson all had him wobbled and seriously hurt.

 

Vitali/Froch/Margarito spring to mind

 

I just re watched Froch Kessler last week and to say Froch was "seriously hurt" at any point in the fight i think is quite exaggerated.

To say a fighter was "seriously hurt" in my book that's a guy who's close to being stopped and Froch was never anywhere close to being stopped at any point during that fight.

Kessler did rock him with a few shots but i mean come on, is there any super middleweight in history that could of went toe-to-toe with Kessler for 12 rounds basically with their chin in the air (like Froch did) and not get wobbled a little?

I think your underestimating his chin quite a bit, why do you think he goes toe to toe almost every fight? because he knows he can take the punishment and keep coming.
