If this fight was to happen today I'd pick Ortiz to win. I feel that in a year or two Alvarez should be ready for anyone.

Tho Victor is the more physical, maybe even stronger fighter tho smaller, Canelo is smarter and knows when to box and when to get into a brawl. He impresses me more when he boxes using defense with 3-4 punch combos and uses the uppercut more. What hurts Victor is that he's too willing to get into brawls which the fans love, but he negates defense in favor of offense. Canelo isn't even in his prime and tho my brain says Vic because of the experience and much better quality than Canelo has had, Canelo just has better defense and those short, powerful combos will find their mark before Ortiz lands with his. But Vic's right hook I admit is one of the best in the game and if he lands it on anyone they either in trouble or they going down. Anybody's fight, but I pick Canelo.

    :good

Would be an awesome fight. It may very well happened once Vic outgrows 147.

    Alvarez would smash him.
Canelo has too much speed and precision for Ortiz.

I would back Canelo to beat Mayweather; He has too much skill.

Canelo would give Mayweather a tough fight; Certainly better than the sitting ducks Mayweather has faced before.

Speed and precision is what is needed to beat Mayweather; Not Cotto standing still and getting picked off.

Saul is nowhere near ready for Mayweather. Like I said in a previous post, in about 2 years Canelo might be ready for ANYONE, but right now he needs to work on developing a few things to compete with the very best of the best.

I agree about time with you in that time 1-2 years he'll be ready for anything especially as mayweather will be on his way out the classic big $$$ fight to pass the torch.

At 154 it isn't even a question... 'soulless' Saul by KO

:think "Soulless" Saul? He does seem like a cold, calculated killer sometimes very stone faced.
