I had to rewrite the original post and put some logic into how Garcia is gonna get the job done. The Khan fans fired me up because of how they overlook every opponent Khan faces. I knew Peterson could pull off the upset and while i thought he couldve done a better job, he still got the W. Here's some of the original post and how Garcia can get it done.

Alright Khan aint overrated. He deserves to ne where he's at but he has serious flaws. He's very inaccurate and wild, couldnt touch McClosky or Judah however his speed and work-rate slows his opponents own work-rate His chin is suspect, he has a habit of leaving his chin out and backs up in straight lines. HOWEVER. He is very good at what he does. He fights at such a high intensity, is very quick on his feet and his hand speed n pop leaves you stunned every time. He's got a fast snappy jab but not accurate at times, its above average due to speed but i like Garcias jab better. Khan has a good left hook, good 1, 2 and after seeing how aggressive he was with the elbows and pushing, hes a got toughness to him.

Garcia is Khan's kryptonite. He can do everything Khan can't. He can counter-punch, fight on the inside, pivot out and set up angles, fight going backwards, with combinations and knock out power and a solid chin. Nobody at 140 is as well rounded as Garcia now that Bradley moved up. The problem is getting in range to let his hands go.

Garcia doesnt have as quick of foot work as Peterson. And ofcourse his inside game isnt as strong either. Khan is going to make Garcia fight at a pace he is not used to but i think the more you push him, the more he will shine. He fights at the pace of his opponent so i think he'll handle Khan's high intensity just fine. Garcia has a great jab, he will need to double and triple it up and hook off the jab. Double jab right hand will be a key combo as well. I also see him having success with the right hand lead body shot to the side of Khans body then later throw it up top. He fights at mid-range so he needs to bend his waist and move his head, which he can do. I see him taking at least 3 or maybe even 4 rounds to get into this rhythm but if he can stay motivated, he'll find his range, dominate with the jab, throw with and counter punch Khan and hurt him. I say he comes in much more confident and prepared than when he fought Morales. He'll hurt Khan and force the refs hand in the 10th.

I think it's a good fight too. Not sold on Khan having an easy night which seems to be the popular call here today.

And Still... that always reminds me of Roy's song : )

Fine, for one second let's say Khan is a basic fighter; i agree that he has lack of inside game, horrible footwork, cannot adjust, low ring iq, throws predictable combo's, gases out after the 5th round etc.

With all his flaws Khan hasn't done 2 bad; 2 time world champ.

This being said your argument kinda disrespects the great fighter's he's faced; whether they were mandatories or not:

    Andreas

    Dimitry

    Paulie

    Marcos

    Zab

I won't include MAB cos that fight in my books should have been a NC and as far as McClownskey's concerned he just didn't throw anything back lol and to think he was rated the #2 LWW in the UK at that time.

Judah and Maidana were realistic in doing the job.

Garcia would have knocked down the pre-roach khan.

His best performance was vs Paulie. That isnt saying much. Maidana dominated the last few rounds and Judah hardly got hit n decided to quit.

The funny thing is after Khan beat's these boxers in the next couple of fights they shine. Paulie is a world champ and casual fans think Zab is back baby!

Please bump this thread after the fight.

Do people still think Khan's chin is bad? And Garcia isn't as good at all those things you listed (fighting on the back foot etc.) as you think he is.

One thing I do know is that Khan is better than the Morales who pushed Garcia all the way. And don't point the Peterson fight out because we all know what Peterson took before the fight.

Good thats what i want. I want all the Khan fans to come out n tell me how wrong i am and how easy this is gonna be for Khan. Remember i picked Peterson to beat Khan. Roided or not Khan still has a nice L on his record and the belts have yet to be returned. Ill bump this thread for you once Garcia sends Khan into another coma like Prescott did.

Im a big fan of Paulie but it still aint a signature win, being the only fight you looked impressive in. Zab is zab and while im a fan of him as well, he lacks mental toughness and found a way out of the Khan fight.
