Doesn't really matter to him, it seems. Khan is an Arab-looking Muslim with an Arab/Muslim name, and so that's enough to associate him with rugs and carpets. He's taking every opportunity to bring his religion/culture into the trash-talking; saying Khan used his religion as an excuse for the Prescott loss (which is bull****).

Well Khan did mention in the past something about the Prescott fight being on some kinda holy muslim day and that he shouldnt have fought since it is a holy day of prayer for muslims. He did say that the loss could have been a message or a lesson from Allah for him to learn

All he said was that maybe he deserved that loss because he neglected his fasting. That's a bit different to outright making an excuse like: "I ONLY lost that fight because of the month I took it in". He's actually saying he deserved it and has made him a better fighter. He had also said he got knocked out because he was stupid for rushing out. So, is he making up an excuse there, too?

I dont agree with Garcias dad about Khan making excuses. Hes just trying to get into Khans head. Making fun of his style is also a mind game, trying to get Khan to engage more in the fight vs his son.

 

No. It's not silly. Morales WAS shot. Has been for years. That Maidana fight just fooled most into thinking he could hang with the best at 140. I actually didn't think he was gonna' definitely beat Garcia - who a lot of people considered a decent prospect.

 

Morales can still beat a lot of fighters at 140. Such as Maidana, Matthysse and Judah. He just needs to take his conditioining more seriously.

There's one thing justifying why Garcia may beat Khan (nothing wrong in that) but justifying Garcia's win against Morales on the basis that he hung in with Maidana for 12rounds is ludicrous.

We all know Maidana is a crude fighter and Morales used his boxing brain that's all. Garcia is decent but you cannot ignore Khan's achievements at 140. Garcia doesnt come close to what Khan has managed so far.

Ignore the fool you'll have more success reasoning with Garcia's dad.
