No nerves, he's a pro fighter and he isn't elite if he can't handle it. I think it was more of bute having the wrong gameplan, Carl is usually a slow starter, he took bute by surprise, caught him and never let up, he gave bute no chance to get into the fight and execute his gameplan.
Hmmm I always thought when that bell goes the crowd is non exsistant, surely you just settle down to buisness.. I think the walk to the ring would be abit twitchy but when its just you and him surely the tunnel vision kicks in..
Nerves? atsch bailey, are there any limits or boundaries to your desire to criticise and denigrate Froch at every turn?-( EDIT: Is your love for Calzaghe so all-encompassing that you can not countenance the sight of a praiseful post about any other SMW in history? Give this nonsense a rest.
In all fairness Bailey you talk about nerves, Butes fights in front of nbigger crowds than that in Canada, he got out boxed and when Bute got caught he got well and truely ironed out.. Perfect game plan for Froch. Bute landed a few nice shots but Froch walked straight through them..
One interesting thing I would like to point out after this fight: I noticed from reading comments in various forums that the real boxing fans - fans of Bute (not the trolls) and the real fans of Froch (again not the trolls) have gained a lot of respect for each other. As a Bute Fan I can say that I was really shocked at the way Bute lost but I gained so much respect for Froch …How can you not admire the guy? I cannot say that I am his fan 100% just yet because there is a rematch and I will obviously be cheering for my boy but I gotta tell you when Froch fights next, don’t care if it is Kessler, Ward or anybody I would not bet against this man…EVER
Yeah... The nerves in his spine that told his legs to shake after he got punched in the face. nerves... Or the "nerve" of Froch to punch him in the face a lot. :rasta
Bute had been training with a pro Froch crowd noise. They felt that it was something they needed when training?
I was there as a fan dummy, I just dont twist history to suit and that bugs so of you that dont know the divisions history
:good:good finally someone who ask the right questions IMO yes it was a big factor, he froze mentally and let the crowd, the pressure get to him and forgot about his boxing skills and gameplan not to say that Bute should/could have won but he wasn't himself that night
Froch did everything right. He often lands a shot and steps off, but not this time, he stepped on and it worked well. In Canada the crowd is very pro Bute and I think he is more comfortable there. He said something like the crowd helped lift him when down against Andrade
Greetings edouardleniqueu, always a pleasure. the reason I wondered was because Froch was caught with nerves against Taylor and it took him along time to get going. He said he was trying to load up because of it and getting caught. Obviously a good chin got him through those tough moments, but if Froch didnt have a great chin, who knows J Taylor may have scored a KO after a schooling?
it could be. he treated Froch fight as a "minor" obstacle in front of a Ward fight and underestimated him too much forgetting that Froch was in real top fights. He beat a young Pascal , beat Taylor, beat Dirrell even if it was a close fight , outbox Abraham and had a decent performance ( loss ) against Ward .
