Bute has a decent mandible but his inside game is bad.

He was hurt by every single punch Froch landed, even Jabs. I am sorry but Froch is not the SMW division's answer to a Prime Mike Tyson and that was nothing more than one of the sorriest displays of punch resistance witnessed in recent years. Bute is exactly what most of us here said, a stay-at-home China Chinned Hype Job and Froch put an exclamation mark at the end of that.

it's hard to admit but yes he was hurt by Froch's weird punches and this thing drives me crazy  ........ if Bute would've took this kind of beating from a technical speedy guy like Ward or Dawson (although I think Bute would do a competitive fight against them) I'd understand it and accept it, but to get schooled by the slowly-widely Froch is inadmissible and odd :think

the rematch will give us the final and the sure answer.

Buté admitted that he was thinking to win over Froch better than Ward did. They were thinking to Ward, Kessler,a big sponsorship with Nike. Yes they went in England with a lot of over confidence but not a warrior attitude. He had not the tiger's eye. Little detail: he decided to take an another entrance song, for more than 6 years, U2's « When the streets have no name», maybe only to not have negative reactions from the crowd. He changed also his ring entrance for not being be perceive as too arrogant. He applauded Froch at the presentation: not a warrior attitude. I don't want to say warrior for a dog's fight, but warrior in a sense of: « OK, i will affirm me in front of you with my own game».
On Froch side, he said : « When I fight all cylinder out like this, I can beat anybody.» So, Froch was not« all cylinder out » with Ward, maybe also Dirrell... We don' know if Froch can last 12 rounds with this kind of regime, but 5 rounds with Buté was enough.

It was the first time that Buté fighted with a boxer who had a world belt in his career. It's one of the differences between others Buté's opponent and Froch. If you are able to be a world champ, maybe you are not the best, but you must have something special and in front of his crowd, Froch don't want to lose, level up his game and was ready for it.

About Buté's chin, Buté was able to take Bika, Berrio, Miranda, but this fight confirmed that he has not a great chin. And the question will now remains: Does Buté can take shots from an elite puncher? He can take shot from good punchers like the guys named before, and I think he has no problem with feather fisted Ward or middle strenght from Dirrell. but from big punchers like Kessler or Pavlik?

Buté's protected?. If he was really protected, the man never went to Nottingham. He wanted to be recognize as the best 168, but because he was not invited in the S6, he was reduce to meet b-c level opponents, waiting for the S6 fighters, and he was TOO GREEN to face a more experienced fighter like Froch.

One thing for sure, Buté had not the fit mental attitude for this fight, and surely that it is one of the reason of his bad performance.

It didn't look so cause his stance is very good for a lefty, excellent body languange, ready to unleash the left counter, jab freely and skip, dodge punches and he looked extremelly focused, concentrated on outworking froch all the way. I guess Froch landed a wild punch that shook him and that has nothing to do with nervs, it's his shaky chin dictating everything from that point on. No defense at all, just panic and holding on, actually we all knew Andrade exposed that in him in the first fight.
