Do people have short memories. HOW is Pacquaio Marquez such a big robbery? Compare to

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by TaylorSwift12, Jun 5, 2012.

  1. Compare to other big fights.

What's your score card for Pac Marquez?

    7-5?
    If it's 7-5, that's not even a big robbery.

I had it Pac winning 4 Rounds.
But 2 were not clear cut and back and forth. So that could go either way

    So it's Pac 4
    Marquez 6
    2- Debatable

    LEWIS HOLYFIELD 1
On the biggest stage in boxing. HW Title fight
was universally scored by all other then the 3 judges
    as 10-2 or 9-3
    that's a robbery for a big fight.

I don't understand how a 7-5 card, or even a 7-4-1 card can be considered a 'massive' robbery that Marquez fans won't

    stfu about.

Funny Chris Rock interview of Don King in regards to Holyfield Lewis 1. Quote

'WHO'S FAULT WAS IT DON that this robbery happened'

'DON'T YOU BLAME IT ON THE WHITE MEN, it was two black brothers in there'

    Don King 'well you see

  2. Robbery is too often used to create situations that is not even as big as it really is.

    Unless Marquez wins 8 rounds 100% to Pacquaio's 4.

And it's very very clear cut. Then it's a legit huge robbery.

I watched the fight. It wasn't a clear cut 8 rounds to Marquez.

I got it around 6 rounds Marquez 4 Rounds Pac. 2 rounds draw(could go either way)

Biggest robbery in recent memory was Williams vs Lara.

Yet because he is from the US it gets swept under the carpet.

Also Floyds card against Cotto was very suspect , but because its Floyd it must be true.

I thought Pacquiao won 3 rounds, 4 at best.

The first two were very even fights that genuinely could have gone either way, but the third was a clear Marquez victory.

  6. in fairness.

Smaller fights have a lot more robberies

Lewis Holyfield was for the HW Title which at the time was still the flagship in boxing.

PAC-Marquez was a huge event as well.

Lara robbery was 10 times worst then Marquez obviously since it was very clear cut.

I had marquez up by a point so imo it was not a robbery... I gave the close rounds to marquez but I can see them going to pac

  8. That's debatable.

I don't care about Pac or Floyd, but a lot of people said

Pac won 4 Rounds. And 2 was very un clear.

    So at best it's 6-4-2

2 Rounds were back and forth though, so favorable judges could easily have scored that for Pacquaio.

once again it's not like the situation where it's Lewis Holyfield

or even Oscar Trinidad EARLY ROUNDS where it was universally agreed that the rounds were 100% clear cut

  9. I had pacquaio winning 4 rounds . Clear Cut.

But 2-3 of the rounds were back and forth which means that judges could have scored it either way.

It still was obviously a Marquez WIN. But it's not as big of a robbery as people claim it is

Your obviously trolling but ill humour you

First time round i scored it 9-3 Marquez, second time 8-4, third time 9-4.

There was one close round but Marquez landed the cleaner punches, used better ring generalship and neutralised Pacquiaos offence.

Pac knew he lost, they were gunning for their man to score a KO which never came, pac didnt even raise his hand after the final bell

i could only score it 7-5 by being extremely biased to Pacquiao and ignoring Marquez's work

  11. I'm not trolling, because I could give a **** about either fighter. I'm 100% serious.

    Also you scored it 9-4

    That's 13 Rounds.... lol

I had it Pac 4 rounds.
    Marquez 6-7

BUT 1-2 WERE NOT CLEAR CUT.

That's the point, if the rounds were not clear cut. It's hard to say.

    Lewis Holyfield 1

was clear cut Lewis 10 Holyfield 2.

    That's a robbery.
There was no close rounds, it was just Holyfield eating the jab and head butting.

People are mad about the decision because Marquez definitely deserved a nod at least in 2 of their fights. Its unfair to Marquez. Thats why it was a robbery

Robbery of the year according to fans

  15. Good job.

Ya we need more neutrals like us to watch the fight. It's hard to be 'neutral' when you are in awe of Floyd Pac or Marquez.

I don't even know their resumes. I just watch it and got it

    Pacquaio winning 4 rounds.. That's it 4

BUT 2-3 were un clear and could go either way.

I PERSONALLY have it 8-4 Marquez

except I know judges can have it 7-5 Pacquiao. I can see why because 2-3 of the Marquez rounds, you can make a case for Pacquaio.
