I voted for Sam Peter because this fight was a "key fight" for Wlad´s career.

But his best performance was against Chagaev. This fight and event was great.

Byrd fought the vast majority of his career above 200lbs and got all his most valuable wins there. I think it's fair to say he was legitimate heavyweight, don't you?

But yeah, fair enough, it's pathetic.

Just for the record, Max Schmeling never fought a single professional bout above 200lbs and he's one of Louis's best wins. What do you call him? And what about Jersey Joe or Ezzard Charles? Both men were LHWs for large stretches of their careers and had a number of fights at or below 160lbs. Would you not also say they were blown up middles?

Or would you just pull the legend card?

For me, it's probably the first Peter fight. He had to show intangibles there that he didn't really have to show in some of the other fights.

On a technical level, the Haye fight was a good one, if boring for the neutral.

Gotta be Peter 1. He took all Peter could throw and just kept getting up and peppering him.

When his chin and heart was a huge ???? mark, Wlad fought the guy no one else wanted any part of. He fought this generations Ray Mercer in his prime, and schooled him.

Most of his wins are great, Byrd, Brock, Brewster, Chag, Haye etc, but coming through vs Peter in their first fight the way he did showed the world that you can knock him down, but he'd only get back up.:good

    :good

The fight against Haye was not boring, it was fantastic! I never thought Haye was so good defensivly. Great movement to avoid Wladimirs superior Jab. Great fight from both. Wlad shows patient and Haye great defence.

Boxing at the best. I want to see technical fights. Boxing is not only to hit each other without any intelligence.

On a technical level the fight is interesting, but considering all the hype and bad blood between them, the fight was a washout, at least from my perspective.
It was hardly FOTC, was it?

Nah, fight was boring. When you have two hard hitters in there, especially at heavyweight, you expect some fireworks. I was really disappointed, especially from Haye. I still think he has the tools to beat Wladimir, but he needs to take somes risks, which he didn´t.

McCline and Schultz gotta rank up there with any other scalp in Ali's resume.

wlads best contest was his brothers tko6 loss to lewis. seriously.

**** poor resume that makes it very hard to rate him against other heavyweight eras.
