kelly should just accept it. accept it and then absolutely destroy sigmon. i'd root for kelly against any super middleweight out there.
Stevenson is certainly not the new Roy Jones. It depends on what Pavlik's got left. Unpredictable fight right now for me (Pavlik's fight this W-E may give us some (partial) answers.
I agree, it depends on what kelly has left. this is his second comeback, and his first real one in my opinion. hr's finally put his demons behind him, and in my opinion that spells disaster for many fighters who he will potentially challenge, if one of them is stevenson, I dont know. It all depends upon the kelly that shows up.
I don't get the 'reports' I got when Kelly was in Ytown anymore. I'm just confident that Top Rank has show confidence in him and his tone after he realized he screwed up last summer leads me to believe he also has confidence in TR. Kelly seems to think his next fight will be a 'big one' so we shall see. Step up would be nice but.... Not our call.
Doubt it comes off. . . Pavlik has bigger fish to fry, and Stevenson is too low reward/high risk. . . He wants the big dog himself. . . Which he still has the name, and promotional power to get (Froch).
I see now. You're saying this might not be big enough for their tastes. I was going with the idea that perhaps they thought that it was too much too soon. Interesting. I hope you're right then. Well, that would open another can of worms. I guess they'd have to give whomever would win this eliminator, Stevenson or his unnamed opponent, step aside money.

Or some kind of IBF rule 5(b)(ii)(A)(iii) will be activated which allows a champion to make some kind of optional defense. .
Fingers are crossed. . . Stevenson is on the watch list of the chin checkers for glass jaws, though. . . I really think Pavlik would KO him if it happened. . But something tells me Pavlik, and Arum would rather go the route of an Edwin Rodriguez if they had to take a fight on HBO, or Showtime before getting Froch.

August 11th is earlier than what Team Pavlik wants. He's looking for a late August to Mid-September return.
