Pavlik wouldn't have any answer to the combinations Froch throws. He may have success at range but Froch has the much better inside and mid-range game. Froch would steal rounds by getting inside Pavlik's jab and throwing combinations.

I do wonder how Pavlik would react to Froch's unorthodox style. Straight up, stiff boxers are usually the ones who find it the hardest to deal with and that certainly describes Pavlik.

    Froch UD or late TKO.

Nah. THere are hardly any similarities between Pavlik and Abraham. Pavlik has a decent workrate, and will not shell up when being attacked. He's also basically the same size as Froch, and although unproven at the weight, isn't giving up inches in height or reach as did AA.

Froch/AA was a simple whitewashing. Froch/Pavlik would not be that. I think it is a war.

You care to explain how you came to these conclusions? Seriously. Chin? Show me the evidence of that. Power? Damned near every guy Pavlik faces talks about his 'heavy hands'.

Kelly has a real chance to make it a very exciting fight, to come away with the win is an extremely big ask. Lets see how he looks against a top 20 Super Middleweight first.

If we saw a 100% Pavlick it would be an unreal fight.

Pavlik has done so much at Super Middle.

Agreed. Although I'd still favor Froch at this point regardless of how KP looks coming in.

BUT, I definitely think Pavlik has a much better chance than most on here seem to think......if he comes in right. Regardless, it would be a war.

Am I the only one that thinks Froch has the better Jab of the two? also his skills are underrated as **** on here, it's disgusting. Froch would smash pavlick into dust within 8 rounds.

Pavlick has a granite jaw, a lot of power, good reach and speed, at least with that straight right. If we saw the Pavlick beat Taylor vs this Froch, it'd just be an unreal fight imo. Sadly Pavlick may not have that in him anymore.

Kelly could make it competitive(assuming he gets back to a condition he's a million miles from just now) for maybe 7 rounds.
But I've seen nothing from Kelly to suggest he'll EVER make a proper splash at 168.
And I want him to do well.
But the Cobra has far too much, and is more than some hooking brawler.

He's got that long jab from down under that he likes to use, and I bet that's the way he'd go. It seems to be his MO in his most recent run of success. He's gone far more the way of the boxer than brawler as of late.

But that long jab can be countered by a good right. And Pavlik has a similar reach.

Again, I'd favor Froch to outbox Pavlik, but I'm not so confident in him outbrawling Pavlik. I've never seen anyone do that.

Yeah I think Froch would probably win. I could see Pavlick landing some flush shots though and he wouldn't go down easy.

I'd say Froch has faced the bigger punchers out of the two, ergo it's fair to day he's got a more proven chin, (of course that's not to say that Pavlik hasn't proven his mettle).

Miranda and Zuniga's stats flatter them - they've hardly got a knockout of consequence between the pair of them. Unless you count a shot Howard Eastman.

Carl Froch's stare would scare Pavlik back onto the bottle worse than Gary Lockett's did.
