Rasani is pretty good defensively, has good movement, but offers little in offense. To beat him you just need to keep your workrate up throughout the fight, which Albert Sosnowski didn't do last year (that fight was a draw). I think Browne will step it up after this one. He's also been sparring with Richard Towers who is undefeated and fighting in a 12 rounder with Gregory Tony on the same card :good
He's no worse than anyone else Browne has faced so far. The draw came against Sosnowski as I mentioned. There are plenty of journeymen in the UK who fight VERY regularly, most of them are very durable, have good movement and are actually not that bad. It will be a challenge for Browne to stop Rasani. I can see him stepping up after this.
Yeah no worse than any of his other opponents thats true, but that's the problem, Why head overseas to fight these guys?? we have plenty of cannon fodder over here for Lucas.... When i heard he was fighting under Hatton and overseas i thought he may have stepped it up.... wrong...
Original opponent broke his foot. Better than heading home without a fight after all the work he's put in while sparring Towers.
Surely he's pretty much exhausted the Aussie/NZ cannon fodder? There can't be too many guys over there. Fighting in Europe opens up far more opportunities for Lucas than fighting in Australia, over there it's just Leapai, DeMori, Meehan and that's about it, there are far more guys over in Europe, he can fight decent opposition regularly once he proves to Hatton he can blow away the journeymen types easily.
Plenty of red ink on Rasani's cv but should give Lucas a good workout. Towers would have been solid sparring for Browne. With his KO record our own Purple Boa Man will be avoiding him like the plague. Thanks for the update ZX.
Yeah it's first thing in the morning here in Sydney, maybe i'm being a bit too critical, Lucas is just starting out in the boxing game i guess.
I'm pretty sure DeMori and Browne are good mates, both are based in WA. Can't see that fight happening
Some bloke from southern England. Can't remember off the top of my head. I think when Wallisch pulled out of the Towers fight, replacing him understandably became the priority. Love seeing Browne be pro active and fighting regularly. As said, the only guys left for him in Aus are Leapai (injured), Meehan (uncertain) Demori (sparring partners) so it's either bring guys to Aus with the associate costs/issues or head OS and do what he's doing. I wish him all the best.
