great stories.rocky was one of boxings truly great sluggers.i met rocky in my home town around 1977.i sold cars at a ford dealorship and was invited up to the chevy place called c.weaver to watch rocky do several tv commercials for them.during the breaks graziano had a fast wit and truly a funny guy.later i got to talk one on one with him for a hour.during our talk he rambled off guys that fought in that era.zale cerdan lamotta harold green robinson artie levine and a few others.he then looked at me and said you know something.all thoses tough fighters .you hadda be crazy back then to fight in that division.i mean realy crazy...great honest thoughts that just came out funny.awsome personality.

No, tough Terry Young didn't go to jail, but after he retired he was killed
at a card club on 1st Ave, lower East Side where he and Rocky were the local tough guys before they took up boxing...Terry Young was in the first main event my dad took me to when he fought the new sensation Beau Jack...

More popular? Hands down, Rocky. Everyone in the five boroughs was scared to death of Jake. But, as a New yorker, you rooted for him when he fought -- puffing up, like that showed how tough New Yorkers were, j

Rocky. He was the Pied piper -- a Leprechan.

    Jake was a snorting Minatour.

Owned a bunch of pizza parlors all around NYC in the 1970's and 80's. I used to go to the one near NYU hospital in Manhattan and he would be there on occassion. Nice man. His pizza was great too.
