I'm not a professional athlete but I'd literally find it impossible to get into the shape Solis is in, even if I sat around eating junk food all day. I would not be able to keep it up. In his own way I guess he's just as dedicated as the best of them. :D

**** Solis. The money was given to him too early and it got to his head. He has no hunger for boxing other than paying his bills. He has zero hunger and aspiration for the actual sport, no competitive spirit at all. None.

    Say what?

Going to the gym more often is the only way to do that

    :rofl:rofl

why does he need fights to get back into shape? i dont have any fights lined up over the 30 years and i'm not a walking tub of goo. i actually run 3 or 4 times a week and cant eat all my favorite foods everyday... but i also care what i look like and dont want to have a girl throw up when they look in my direction.....
but give solis credit if you want....at least he has fans that understand what he is going through...its hard being misunderstood like he is :-(

    :yep

He's probably the most disinterested, lazy contender I've ever seen fight.

Good idea coming from him and I highly agree. Solis was off for 14 months and rusty so let's not forget that and he still dominated a top 10 HV easily. Now that his knee is fine he needs to be fighting every 1-2 months and against good opposition. Needs to lose at least 15-20 more pounds though, wish him the best!

Just after seeing the full Airich fight for the first time and thought Solis looked quite impressive despite the obvious extra weight he was carrying. Looked much better than I thought he would considering just how long a lay off he had with that severe injury. Dominated even round and won a clear shut out with his reflexes in particular looking very sharp and no doubt going the 12 rounds did him a World of good. He still seemed to have plenty left in the tank as well during the 12th round which is a good sign.

Hopefully he fights again within 2/3 months so we can see him get back into his best possible condition. No reason why he can't shift 5 or 10 kilos of extra weight by then too. I suppose a fight with Pala would be a good next fight for him that would make sense with both men promoted by the same promoter and with Pala nowhere else to go now after losing to Airich in his last fight.

Solis might within a year have the best possible chance of ending Wladimir's reign. A big ask but he still has so much potential.

    True.

In the UFC, the heavyweight limit is 265.

Maybe boxing should enforce something similar, maybe a little lower like 250
