Gamboa vs. Pacquiao this winter, or spring 2013 @ 140 (if Pac doesn't retire). . .

Pacquiao is a very small welterweight. Rios, who was not seen as being too big for Gamboa, weighs more on fight night than Pacquiao does.

    This. . .

I mean, yeah, I definitely jumped the gun by suggesting it should be Pac's next fight. . .

He definitely needs to at least have one fight at 135, and probably 2. . .

But it's so easy to see that pacquiao, and gamboa are more than close enough in natural weight for it not to be a factor at all.

That's almost as bad as Marquez vs Mayweather.

Of course I'll get on my feet and stretch as much as I can to stand up higher. This is potentially a much more interesting fight than Pacquiao-Bradley ...in my view. You'll know part of the reason why is it Sunday morning...

Yeah, because Pac has never been the bigger man on fight night. What's it like to live in your deluded world?

it's been quite some damn time. . . Half a decade, and a bloody fortnight?

or actually, as a pac fan, i admit DLH was drained, and im pretty sure Pac actually did come in the ring heavier. . . but that was a fluke. .

his last few fights, including Marquez, he's been the smaller man. . My man 'Quez had him by 2 pounds. . . Mosley prolly had him by 10 pounds. . . Margarito had him by 20 pounds. . . Cotto prolly had him by 10-12 pounds. .

So what's wrong with Pac coming in the ring 5 pounds heavier than Gamboa?

Seriously, if Gamboa proves he can carry the weight well, he'll defintiely be a huge challenge. . He's the only boxer who can match Pac's explosive speed, and power. . . Come on man, you can't tell me as a boxing fan first, this wouldn't be a mouthwatering matchup. . .

Dude, I'm not a *******, if that's what you think. . . Yeah, I like to make fun of Floyd for his out of the ring antics more than Manny. . But when it comes to boxing, I could have easily been classified as a ***** if you saw how I praised him after his fights. . .

I really am a true hardcore boxing fan. . . And IF Gamboa can prove he can hold the weight without a problem, I think that Pac/Gamboa is about the best matchup for the fans that can be made, aside from Floyd. But YES, I conceded that I jumped the gun with too much excitement at first by positing the match go down this winter. . . Gamboa needs at least 2 fights at 135 to prove his mettle.

You laugh, like I've said something hypocritical, and yet you can't prove me wrong. Everything I said there is factually accurate and you know it is.

You'll have to remind me: What did I say about the Cotto fight? Or Ortiz? Help me out here, seeing as you know a lot about me and my opinions.

not gonna happen.. gamboa needs like around 4 fights to prove himself that he can handle 135/140 pounders and by that time, pac is already retired.

since pac needed that many fights and all. . .

gamboa is a freakish exception. . . if he resumes at 135 as originally planned before the debacle, two fights would be more than enough to prove he can handle the size for a guy like pacquiao who would be fighting at lightweight if he cut weight like normal boxers do. . .

this winter? gamboa's been inactive and hasn't even fought at 135 yet. it's an interesting fight on paper but in reality, I don't think so.

also gamboa has a suspect chin. if the fight happens late next year, if pac doesnt show any decline, gamboa will lie down the canvas sleeping.
