Well, supposedly Bute has an agreement that would let Froch fight an interim fight and Bute get the winner. At least that is what someone just posted saying Bute had a pretty strong contract. Where does that leave the mandatory? A year or more out?

We're working out some details. A co-promo with Roberto Acevedo's Team in PR.

Nice. I hoped you'd be bringing him back. With the right opponent this should be a nice regional draw. Roberto deserves the exposure.

Bet you he won't accept the fight. He'll cash out with a bigger fight imo. Bute probably.

Defintely. Roberto fights again in a couple weeks. He was on the Showtime a couple weeks ago. We're looking at another kid from PR, Joello Torres.

doesn't showtime owe Bute a fight? They want an American, right? Bute vs Pavlik. TR and InterBox are close i remember Arum saying good things about Bedard when Kelly pulled out last year. now with bute's loss + Showtime money + bell centre gate revenues the fight can be made easy. that's my guess.

bute vs. pavlik in late september/october
bute vs froch early 2013 (even if he loses to pavlik)

froch fights kessler or rematches andre dirrell in september

team Pavlik would be morons to not take this fight. He would flatten Stevenson with ease and his chin is good enough to not have to worry about getting sparked out himself. He could walk all over Stevenson, you saw what Boone did to him? c'mon son

Stevenson is easy pickings for a guy with abig punch and solid chin like Kelly.......way easier than Rodriguez

Turn around time seems to be the issue. Not sure if that is set in stone or not. Most think Kelly should take one more step up before going 'all in' for a title fight. This could probably be it.

it should be it!! They'd be dumb not to take it cause it's a cakewalk for Kelly vs a guy getting a lot of hype and would put Kelly back in the limelight way more than fighting a Rodriguez or some barely top 20 type guy. Pavlik would look great KOing Stevenson and his stock would rise.

Damned talk of Bute next fight instead. Damned. I agree one more intermediate step up would be logical. Stevenson if the timing works out would be good.

I know Froch just ragdolled Bute but I honestly don't like the way Pavlik matches up with Bute. Pavliks chin and punch are arguably as good as Froch's but he's more calculated and not as inclined to rush a muther****er and barrage him. He'll give Bute enough time and space to do what he does best imo. If I'm Pavlik I stay the **** away from Bute and whup Stevenson then get a Froch fight. Styles make fights.

It was confirmed yesterday that PAvlik's team refused to face Stevenson.

Fabio Farrias (lost in 5 against Abraham) is "highly probable" they say....

Pavlik's team understandably have little faith in him.
