I dont care about your emotions wimp, just for you to explain. Now overall, how do you come to that conclussion when Froch has no wins over prime fighters with resumes better than Woodhall, Reid, Mitchell, Kessler, Eubank, Lacy. Froch beat Reid when very faded. Then Calzaghe has other victims with good resumes say better than Dirrells in Mkertchyan, Veit, Brewer etc plus all the other top 10 SMWs he beat. Pascal not as a good a win as Woodhall Dirrell not as good a win as Veit 2 Abraham not as good a win as Reid Johnson not as good a win as Bika at SMW at that time Bute not as good a win as Mitchell Then Calzaghe has Kessler and Eubank who is an even bigger win, plus Brewer. In fact except for Bika on that list for Calzaghe, all the rest for Calzaghe were SMW champs, compared for just one for Froch
Sounding a bit beaten there Herol. You said fans in London. I know where London is dummy. You said fans in London. What fans in London do you know? Now before moving on, try and answer this question which you keep ducking Now once again When has Calzaghe had the crowd support when fighting an English based fighter in England. I cant recall a time he had the larger crowd support in those situations. If he was fighting a fighter foreign to the UK, then yes he would have the support. But once again what fight are you reffering to in those situations?
and the boy just keeps on going. do you think once you get to 10,000 you get a special prize from joe? you might be disappointed because im not sure he swings that way
Its because its so easy to school people like yourself, who only know the division from when Lacy was the heir apparent
WTF i always thought lacy created this thing we called box are you trying to say he didn't WHO are these people who went before him WHO ? **** i need to buy some bread
the vast majority watching Zaghes london fights were Zaghes fans, cheering him on, on every occasion. remember the phrase quit while you are ahead? better u use it when you've lost the argument. all of them I watched he has good support. no ducking there. its gotta be said, one thing about Bailey. When he finds an argument that doesnt work, he goes with it 100%. something admirably Quixotic about that.
Apart from Kessler and Ward, who the hell has Froch fought who's done anything at SMW? Oh yeah, he lost against both of the aforementioned fighters (one embarrassingly so).
Direll, Bute, Abraham, Taylor, Johnson and Pascal who are all good fighters (though not great) who have held several belts between them. A lot of people knock Direll but his win over Abraham at the time was very impressive because King Arthur was considered the favourite to win s6 by many. Taylor was a bona fide middleweight champ. Abraham was a champion at smw, though he has since been found out and Pascal has gone on to do good things as well. Not great fighters but tough opposition for anyone and better than most of the people on Calzaghe's resumé bar 2. I still think Joe was the greater fighter but Froch is close to surpassing him in terms of acutal, quality names on his record.
Calzaghe beat eubank, kessler, bhop in his career Two fighters who would beat froch and one who actually did beat him, and calzaghe beat a fresher younger better kessler than froch lost to Calzaghe beat the number one at light heavy in his first fight at the weight too Aloso beat Bika in a tough fight bika a fighter who scares the **** out of most at his weight now and who beat the hell out of ward.
So, out of that list, only Abraham has really done anything at SMW? Abraham is goddamn awful at any weight and I'd love to know who the hell considered him a favourite to win the Super6! Dirrell, IMO, beat Froch handily. He's done nothing at all himself. Taylor, while once being a decent MW prior to getting whupped by Pavlik, has done nothing at SMW. Anyway, he was making Froch look silly for 35 minutes out of 36. Johnson is nearly old enough to be his father and if you saw that fight I think we should leave it there. Also, the less said about Pascal and Bute, the better.
Because a guy hasn't done anything specifically at SMW means he isn't a good or comparatively better fighter? Who, aside from Kessler(who is the best win on either Calzaghe's or Froch's resume), on Calzaghe's resume would a guy like 2008 Jermain Taylor lose to? Going in Abraham was co-favorite with Kessler, based on his work at MW prior, and bolstered by his KO of Taylor in the S6. Ward was dismissed by most as a green longhsot, as was Dirrell. It was a foregone conclusion that the crude Froch would not get past guys like Kessler and AA. It's funny now that he lost 3 in a row or whatever, but he really did only lose to the cream of the division. Ward and Froch are top guys, and Dirrell is the most talented fighter physically. The book is out on poor Arthur now. Keep moving and keep throwing leather. Having rewatched Froch-Taylor recently, that was very much a fight going into the last round. froch was behind on the cards, but had closed the gap considerably going into the 12th. Pascal is a good win, but not a great one. But Bute is a great win. Behind only Kessler on Calzaghe's.
Seeing him getting dominated, and then brutally knocked out by Arthur Abraham in his next fight, I'd say quite a few! Eubank, Mitchell, Reid, Brewer, Woodhall and Lacy would all be in with a great shot of destroying that version of Jermain Taylor. Not at all. In fact, Froch's win over Bute is no better than Calzaghe's win over Lacy. Both are similar, undefeated champions, looked good against limited opposition and got found out when they stepped up.
Hey bailey, serious question. Why do you keep saying Froch hasn't beaten better comp than Calzaghe? That has nothing to do with the question asked. Nobody is talking wins and losses. Froch has fought the better comp, bottom line.
